From Philip Lamb. Hope someone can help

Hello, my father, George Lamb, was the 3rd Carabiniers Band Sergeant Major leading up to the amalgamation in 1971 at which point, if memory serves me, the Regiment deployed to Aden and as he was nearing completion he remained behind in the careers office.  Unfortunately he passed away in 1990.
I'm trying to make a montage of his career with the possessions that i still have, however I really would like to know what the emblem was on the front of the metal plumed helmet which they wore on ceremonial occasions.  Although i have photos of him wearing it they are all side on!!  I think it might just be a bold 3DG but would love to have that confirmed as I know where I can purchase one.  Hopefully one of your members can help.  Many thanks for your time.

Hi Philip, I remember your Dad well, a really nice guy who was special in that he integrated with non band people just as much as with the band guys themselves. He was not only a good musician but highly respected & liked in equal measures by all who knew him. John (JKW)
