Just thought I'd mention Her record breaking reign,to think I was a kid of 7 years of age when She accented the throne, having a great street party in Birkenhead a world at peace oh happy days .My personal opinion for what it's worth She has done a good job keeping the majority of the British people happy.God Bless Her

Of all the Royal Family The Queen is simply quite outstanding, she is globally respected, she is a consummate monarch with an encyclopaedic knowledge of all matters relating to the countries she reigns over. Her long and happy reign is testament to the love and admiration, the respect and loyalty, the majority of the UK and indeed most of the Commonwealth still have for her. I do believe when she no longer reigns over us that  cracks in the monarchy will emerge and the republican movement will gather momentum, particularly from Scotland. It is a shame that the Queen's children failed to live up to the expectations she had of them, with 3 out of the 4 on their second marriages. Charles is basically an OK guy, I have met and spoken to him several times, BUT he simply does not engender the admiration that his mother does. I AM a Royalist but I am unsure whether or not my loyalty to the crown will remain 100% as staunch as it currently is post demise of Her majesty!

David, I can not, for the life of me, mention any member of the Royal Family who has the aura, the knowledge, the charm or the stamina and love of this country of ours who could possibly replace Her Majesty. Odds on Corbyn???

Yes I'm in agreement David, when invited to Buckingham Palace garden party and having the privilege to have a one to one with our Queen I noticed that She had a memory of the Regiment I was serving in.(in uniform).Princes Ann had just retired from the British equestrian team and was in the process of divorcing Mark Phillips,She too is one bright spark a little more severe to her mother. The thought of a British Republic is a No No for me ,as for Scotland they don't know when they are well off,but then again I think what ever it costs for the Queen is a much better price than to have a G W Bush,R Reagan ,now A Lincoln is one in a million like our Elizabeth .

Been in the UK for a couple of days now ,my oldest daughter in hospital so I'm on babysitting duties (15&8),and access to proper Brit/Eng papers ,now I'm not much a denigrating a politician oh all right their only after to what they can get out of it for themselves. Reading most of today's papers (wed 16/9) I see Mr So Far to Left Corbyn is well ,would shooting ones foot a correct answer or would really feckin up another. Why is it so important to the far left that they have to rid the country of the Monarchy?? Especially after the Woman has just put in Stirling service to us the masses, yep the National Anthem is a bit 17th century, yes it's about the Monarch and not the country (here's my favourite word) BUT it's OUR National Anthem and if he doesn't like it there are a couple of things he can do before He Kisses HER HAND as leader of the Opposition (to get his extra money) most of them are rude ,BUT Ryanair do cheep packets abroad and if he needs the cash ,oh I forgot the Country is already paying Him a feckin good wage. So in the job less than a week and he's got the back up of most the voting adults in the country by starting His Red deluded waffle,if he wants to a pacifist, let the Unions put us back into 70's (remember the 3 day week) allow unlimited migrants into the UK  I hear he wants to go Nuclear free too among other antics, I  think he needs a little advice on what's going on in the world especially in this country, talking to my old neighbours in Rochdale he is dead wrong . I remember a saying when I was growing up and that was "a communist at 20 ,a liberal at 35 and a  Tory at 50 so this guy hasn't grown up yet !!!!!!

Bob, you have it in one, my friend, He is a typical product of high education, zero common sense, and NO respect for our way of life. He is TOO full of his own importance, and has no resect for anyone who does not agree with him. How many other politicians in the western world would even consider, never mind agree with this man's loony left ideas? If he wants communism, it is only a few hours flying time east from here, but if he advocates "non nuclear" in that country, he would be shot on the spot, no arrest, no trial, no escape, since none of that country's population would think him sane. He would have more holes in him than 1000 tons of maggot ridden elephants. He has not only insulted our Monarch, he has insulted the VAST majority of the residents of this country. And we will remember that... "Orf with his head" would not be enough punishment, nor would " hung, drawn and quartered". Bags me a seat at the front!!!

Just been looking through Facebook and spotted that the Queen had visited the "new regiment " at its new base in Scotland, the only face I recognised on all the photos was of Simon Allen (Brigadier & Colonel of Regiment) thinking back to when Tiny Tim commanded us in Detmold and of him running around the barracks. That's well over 50 years and the "new regiment " is 44 years and counting, and all that happened in our youth , am I the only one but has time flown . The pity of it all is that our cavalry Regiment has been reduced to the present role of "light armour " ,all that experience of DesertStorm 1 & 2 ,the years of "tank" training in Batus,Soltau etc is all going into the history books , cos once that skill has gone you can't get it back . The only thing constant in my life well since I was 7 anyway was Elizabeth our Queen, I just hope the Tories and the money men realise from Her they get value for money.

I totally agree, HM is an influence on this country which no other person could emulate. She is beyond doubt, the one guiding light in a country of back biting anf beligerent arguing. If the rest of the country could do 2% as well as the Queen, this country could be a real beacon to the rest of this sorry world.  Here endeth the lesson ( For now!!)
