If it wasn't so serious it could have been a Hollywood movie, to think you've a nut in North Korea and banana in Washington. Both flexing their military muscles , whose going to blink first ?????????

As the old song goes "Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag", this can only end in disaster if the wrong one blinks first. BUT, it depends on who we in the west think of as the baddie in all this. The lot of them seem to be full of bombast and bull droppings, all trying to discomknockerate the others, and no thought of all the innocents in this saga. The only way to sort it all out is to put these swordwaving loons all together on a desert island, with food for 2 days, soft rubber balls as ammunition, and one kayak to find and escape in. THEN we shoot the one survivor, and restart the world. Just a thought of course, but far better than the posturing being demonstrated by these so called leaders. It would make the good lord of each religion in the world weep......(If it was not for real....)

Now there are loads of people visiting the Whitehouse ,for what maybe the debriefing on yesterday's flexing muscles in/on the Korean Peninsula. From a lay persons perspective the pictures were very impressive, aircraft and missile systems beating the shite out of painted hills/ grass . Interesting times ahead ,just as long it doesn't kick off before Corbyn becomes prime minister.

I see that the rhetoric has died down a bit with a softening of the language from USA, China has welcomed this and is I think putting a bit more diplomatic pressure on ding dong bell or whatever he is calling himself lately, as long as both sides keep expending their ammo out to sea or into hillsides all will be well, all this does overshadow the Syria problem and is at least keeping the beast from the east out of the headlines at the moment. We must hope that the 2 mancs clubs draw tonight, this keeps them still behind with only 1 game each in hand , city have soft run in games left, the other one has still got to play Spurs and Arsenal, all the Pool has to do is win their games and it will be champions league, Buddy Holly  wishing and hoping.

Bob, you never know, the dipstick from a Manchester side who nutted someone shorter than himself may have persuaded both Manky teams they should take up the noble art of nutology to such a level that there will only be LFC and York City left standing.... wishful thinking, but cows might fly......(sent tongue in cheek!!!)

Tom I looked at that nut incident and I think Aguerra  pushed himself into that so called headbutt, typical Argentinian trick, however, it gave us a good resulting draw. and now today both the manc clubs have drawn again it is now in the reds hands to win these remaining four games, that will put us in the champions league, it will really keep keep the red side of Liverpool smiling.

BOB, This close to the end of the soccer season, it could very well be the goal of the season, at least. I never could have imagined Can being able to do such a thing, but all in all, it was a fantastic goal and he deserves all the acclaim he gets for it.The only time I got anywhere near the status Can is now in with that goal was when a 5th Tankie sent me flying through the air with a tackle that broke my right lower leg in 1966 when I was radio instructor, in Catterick !!!! But I WAS flying horizontal thru the air, but not a goal scorer...AND he  was an old friend of mine.... But it was OK, cos he  fainted!!!! No moral fibre....

Agreed, must be "Goal of the Season" - it must have been good, even Sky Sports HQ showed it about 40 times before breakfast, although they HAD to follow it up by discussing Zlatan's knee surgery and then showing HIS goals !! Footnote for Dave (non football fan) Fullard ; Zlatan is the first name of ManUre's top scorer Ibrahimovic, ManUre of course, being the "pet" Club of Sky TV !! John (JKW)

I have always said that JKW's comments on the RED  Man Ure were true and to the point, and it goes to show that SKY are bedazzled by the disabled mob called Man.U. No taste that lot... A better team called Birkenhead Primary School could run rings round them and as for Man Twitty, even a team of ants could do better, on AND off the field.... I will don my suit of armour now, in case the 2 "Mans"  fight back...

I know I've published Liverpool scores and have been an ardent supporter BUT the team on the Birkenhead side of the Mersey is in the playoffs hopefully getting back in the league. So last night they won 3-0 away from home ,I still remember them playing in the championship playoffs losing to Swindon . I just hope for their ardent fans they make it back .

Me too , I've always had a soft spot for the Rovers - I used to pass their ground every working morning for 20 years on my way to the "Big House" although shamefully, I must admit to never having been inside Prenton Park. With Tranmere having had many former LFC & EFC players on the staff over the years, both the Red and Blue halves of Merseyside will surely lend their joint support in hoping Tranmere Rovers get their place back in the League - C'mon the Rovers, you can do it !   John (JKW)
