July seems to be a good month for nuts

here we go again in the USA another shooting of police officers 3 this time ,on top of Nice body count still rising ,on top of Dallas , and the happenings in Turkey .Yes words fail me and that's a new one for me , in other posts both myself and David have discussed safe holiday destinations, with all that has happened over this year/summer these are getting dangerous locations to be in ,me thinks staying at home could be a safe option, ah feckit ,just be careful out there ( as they said in Hill Street Blues)

Sky News must be in their absolute element, with one major killing / attack / military coup after another - how they (Sky) just love to dwell on each event, interviewing anyone & everyone even remotely connected to the crisis, dragging out every morsel of gossip just to fill in air-time. What makes it even worse, my only other favourite Sky channel, Sky Sports News HQ , has been majoring on bloody golf almost 24/7 , to me the most boring pastime ever to watch - roll on 14th August, when the footy starts ! John; what about snooker and darts? Neither are sports in the accepted sense of the word, both bore me to tears. Truth be told I watch very little sport these days, boxing, cliff diving, rugby but little else interests me. I watch the edited highlights of football but 90 minutes of it is just too much for me. Apropos Sky's ambulance chasing I haven't seen much coverage on the latest Baton Rouge police officers who were killed in a seeming revenge attack for the killings by police officers of black men. The sad fact is there is a glut of murder and mayhem for the media to gorge themselves on, wait till the reprisals for the failed Turkey coup begin in earnest.

I do not understand anyone who plays golf, itĀ  is the most singular "sport???" in the world, where all the individual players are out for one thing...to smash a small insignificant ball of plastic and rubber from one hole to the next (if they manage that), and nobody but themself and their equally idiotic moronsĀ  see any glory in a one person fight with himself which is what golf is in essence. They are full of themselves, and ignore everyone and everything else. What did the world do to develope a one sided individual's bashing hell out of a bit of plastic and rubber? Most other "sports"involve some or several players trying to beat the equally involved and balanced other side. All persons who "play" a game involving themself and one other in opposition... who cares???. All other games involve at least 2 people playing against the other, which is at least a game of chance. Sometimes.......
