Bob, I know what you mean when you write that there will now be justice for the deaths at Hillsborough but I'm not sure that can ever fully be achieved this long after the event. The whole tragedy resulted in a web of lies, deceit, false reporting, cover ups and a complete disregard of the victims and their families. Relatives and witnesses were routinely labelled as liars. Campaigners were disrespected, lampooned and labelled cranks. Much of the hurt and distress can never be healed. Those who never gave up, refused to lie down and be shut up in their efforts to receive justice as well as those who suffered in silence at the loss of their loved ones may now derive some satisfaction if those responsible for the deaths and the aftermath of lies are properly arraigned before a court of law. Common sense tells me that the tragedy and the latest inquiry has attracted so much media attention that those responsible and named in the inquiry as such WILL face justice and WILL pay for their actions. But, a sneaky little voice in the back of my brain says can there ever truly be justice after all this time and when was the last time we saw police officers found guilty of a crime they are charged with resultant from their actions whilst on duty. Recent history of such incidents doesn't fill me with 100% confidence in it all. I truly hope my doubts are proven to be wrong.

Same here ,one thing I do know that the rag red top that rises every morning ( can't say it's name ) will never be bought or brought into my home after the lies it published in the aftermath of Hillsborough .

I do believe Duckenfield will be found responsible for the manslaughter of 95 fans through gross negligence - as "Commander" he not only "froze" on the day, but worse, lied about the opening of the gates. Bettison also lied, although vehemently denying so now, stating his involvement occurred after the tragedy, as if that doesn't count ! Despite everyone on Merseyside knowing he had lied about the evidence, I found it truly amazing that he was later promoted to the position of Chief Constable in LIVERPOOL - you couldn't make it up ! Anyway, justice will prevail, the weight of evidence is so strong, and the world will be watching. John (JKW)

The world is watching these events, and anything  but the correct verdicts and punishments for these people involved will be accepted by not only this country, but the whole world. Let the full force of the law descend  on the culprits involved. The fans were all innocent of any crime, they were hoping to see a great game of SPORT.
