Last Night of the Proms

Important bit first LFC 4 Leicester 1 YIPPEE. I also watched the LNOTPs, and was impressed by the male singer from Peru, he sang very well, and entered into the fun of it all greatly. His was the best performance on stage front for several years. And his finale was great!!!. The views of the outside arenas round UK were also very well supported and great, the best for a good while. We can, when we want to, outshine every other country in the world by performances such as this latest LNOTPs. Well done to all concerned.

The "L N at the Proms" mmmmm Tom I'm not sure the guy dressed in an Inca outfit was appropriate for the Proms , yes he had a great voice and he had put everything into his versions of iconic music/songs that are so "British" ,dare I say English . My personal type of singer for the finale songs is barratone ,there's a Welsh singer who's name I can't remember but his deep voice is breathtaking and has the hairs on the neck standing up . Still it was brill with the Glasgow,Colwyn Bay and Hyde Park all included and the exceptional Titanic slipways for their flag waving. If any of you guys had ever had the honour of being on duty at the Royal Albert Hall for whatever function ( Rememerance Saturday 1981) you'd realise the acoustics is magic and with a full house as with the Proms of energetic prommers being so involved and happy to react to the music/singing coming from the stage . My personal best night at the Proms was a couple of years ago when "Dr Who " came to the Proms ,I'd even say it was " out of this world " with Cybermen and other figures from the programme mixing in the audience . Next July is pencilled for 2017 ,bags of popcorn and Jamersons ordered .

John next up Chelsea at Chelsea ,now if we do the biss there we could have a good season ,but the "New Mainstand " looks great but it's taken too long for the fans ,should have been years ago now the extra revenue and extra 10k fans will be more intimidating to teams on their visit, and Henry seems to be the owner who knows what he wants .

Bob R, you are being a bit unfair to the Aztec singer, he got great responses from ALL the audience, and he looks better in costume that the normal "Rule Britannia" over weight monster singer who belts that song out full gusto. However, new items take a long time to become "standard" on LNOTPs before they become acceptable, the Prommers are an institution for that night of all nights, and seemed to have enjoyed the change. Besides, he DID get the best response from the prommers and the hoi poloi for years. You are just not happy with "change"!!! It was a great night, you stick in the mud (said tongue in cheek Bob!!)
