I don't know whether this is an attempt at an end of year joke or have you lost or misplaced your aides to communicating at the higher level, if it the former you may have to visit ALS  HIEMERS SHOP, I hear he can sometimes do things with the short term memory loss. if however it is the latter, I am sure a man of your acumen will be able to bumble through that seriously befuddled mind of yours David, and come up with a solution like your cloud back up system for instance. I am at loss as to what the acronym  OED stands for. Time for a Laurel and  Hardy moment a scratch of the old bonce, having just arrived home from   Barrow in Furness via Ulverston where the former was born.

Bob, how nice to hear from you again. Oxford English Dictionary -OED. My post was meant to be a clever joke, “lost for words”-OED, synonyms are found in their multitudes in Roget’s Thesaurus. No dictionary, no Thesaurus ......lost for words! It IS slightly esoteric I grant you but I thought it was funny! My mind isn’t befuddled though as I still manage the Daily Telegraph large crossword most days and I  was able to mentor both granddaughters through their uni degrees. Apropos Barrow. My pa  was born there, I lived there from 1960-1963 just off Abbey Road, we also lived on Walney Island for a little while. I enlisted into JLR while we lived there, signed up in the recruiting office in Preston. Anyway, my post was a joke, JK’s response was a reference to my recent finger trouble whilst posting;  you will be glad to read both my OED and my Thesaurus repose peacefully on the shelf in my study. As a final aside Bob, the only cloud backup system I have any idea about is cloud cuckoo land, I am THE original technophobe, without my granddaughters I would be lost with anything remotely connected to computers. This post is sent from my iPad which I am only now relatively conversant with after owning it for two years lol. Have a great night.
