MOOB !!

MOOB ! That's "BOOM" in reverse, 'cos of LFC's devastating result today - (in case David F is still looking in, "BOOM" is what Jurgen Klopp says after a great win !), so a 2-0 loss today to Burnley only merits a MOOB in my opinion - Grrrrrr.

How could LFC have 80% of the possession, plus  26 shots at goal, yet a) not score, & b) not even trouble their 'keeper ? Answers on a postcard please, addressed to Jurgen Klopp c/o LFC @ Anfield.

Burley did the same to them last time they met, LFC are getting arrogant against their "lesser" opponents, but once again, it came back to haunt them. In the 60's and 70's the team captain of LFC would roast ANY of his team if they got arrogant and treated their opponents as walkovers. Times change, more is the pity. And Tommy Smith was NOT a man to annoy.....or, for that matter, was any LFC team captain....  As for the reaction of Klopp, not many people can understand what he says in his low, deep german voice. But he is PD Smart... and it will NOT be a rattle coming out of HIS pram,  Verbals, YES!!! Tom

Tommy Smith , yes, and Graham Souness too - neither would take anything less than 100% effort from the team, OR any dirty tactics from the opposition - woe betide any that did croos the line ! John (JKW)

The only player not from LFC who came to Anfield with murder on his mind was Norman Hunter, from what I remember, commonly called "biteyerlegs Norm". From the Anfield Road end  HE took no prisoners until Tommy Smith clattered him....... All the others were just "would be" visiting players. Happy Days,  Tom

It's back to "BOOM" time again ! 5-0  is a great score, but it was the manner of the win that was so pleasing, irrespective of the opposition. Sadio Mané looks the "buy of the season", utterly brilliant & just what we needed at LFC. Let's hope they can continue the success, having been brought down to earth at Burnley. Now need a decent win over Spurs this w/e to set us up for a good run. John (JKW)
