interesting weekend , who was shouting for Chelsea (ME) ,who is thinking that a German has the right idea (ME) ok so it's only by goal diff but in my eyes 3 points was the aim .Now Xmas is on the horizon and if ( is a big word) the Reds can get a run going ,well all things are possible, talking to my nephew (season ticket holder for 20 odd years) the team is doing the bizz and if the talk is all about City,Arsnal or Spurs we can creep up and get a bit of silver ware in April/May ........fingers crossed

After watching the LFC v Tottingham (remember those two Argentines??), LFC look as though they have a solid group of youngsters coming up into the big time, and they did not let anyone down tonight. The boss looked pleased with the result, and it set the youngsters up to look forward to getting into the 1st team in a little while, where they should be ready for it, and learn from their elders. Clever heads on young shoulders deffo..... They let nobody down....

How is it, that the main contributors on this Forum are ALL fans of the mighty LFC ? Surely the odd Evertonian, or even the more  "odder" ManUre supporter, lurks around in the background ? If so, show your face, we're not afraid of the competition - in Jurgen we trust !! John (JKW)

After today's result for ManUre he'll need to move there too ! What a great result for LFC today, a really impressive performance too, with 4 different scorers - "heavy metal football" is right ! YNWA John (JKW)

The only problem I see on the horizon is City ,after watching them destroy West Brom so easily mmmm. But wheels have fell off before and all the lads can do it keep WINNING ,and as you said John 4 different scorers is good for moral for the  supporters and team .

Bob, Agreed re City but they do rely on Aguero staying fit to get their goals, whereas WE have multiple goal scorers these days, unlike when we HAD to rely on Sturridge as our main goal scorer. Arsenal usually fade badly after Christmas, so hope that trend continues - whatever happens, it's going to be hard fought and tight right to the seasons end. Providing we can keep the momentum going, we'll be in there with a great shout. John (JKW)

John with the demise of teletext on TV in Ireland I have to search for info on the other team on Merseyside, who ??? we'll Tranmere of course. They've been feckin awfull over the last couple of years but now seems they've got their act together, gone are the days when they were fighting to get into the premiership or visiting Wembley for cup games . Now they're in the top 3 of the league winning 4-1 away from home at the weekend, they might start getting more the 300k residents of Birkenhead paying to watch them again ,reason well the English kids have got to get a chance to be spotted by the big clubs then move up ,toooo many foreign players earning astronomical salaries ( like Bale £300k plus a week ) and the national teams need youngsters coming through. So going back to Tranmere just hope they can get back into the league.

with reference to the young bloods coming through, I,ve always said if your good enough your old enough, and I think the LFC teeam are all good enough, still not to sure about Karius looks to be suspect on crosses still it will all come out in the wash, as John says city depend on Aguero when he is out so are city , I think Kompany has had it  I  think his groin/hamstrings are calling it a day. Moreno is another worry bags of pace, his temperament lets him down when he gets wound up, he needs to take a leaf out of Milners book, great stalwart that he is.

LFC played the best football I've seen from anyone, including Barcelona, for a very long time - against Watford we were devastating, no wonder the Kop were singing "Poetry In Motion" ! They also, tongue in cheek, sang that Luis Suarez would only make the bench with this team !! Liverpool were THAT good, it might even convert David Fullard into a footy ( Red) supporter !
