Tom we are on about Lord Leverhumes little village he built for his workers ....Port Sunlight a model village ,absolutely beautiful ,but the factory is massive and has its own docks on the Mersey  employing thousands and thousands for a long time. Also MrLewis had his wedding reception in one of establishments there ,Tom take a couple of hours to tour that area and you'd realise what Levers have done for the Wirral over the years.

As you say Bob, a beautiful village, "picture post card" in fact, and kept in perfect condition. I once went to the local Hall (Gladstone Hall, I think it was called) in Port Sunlight, and saw the best ever Elvis tribute act there that I've ever seen, & believe me, I've watched some good 'uns in Vegas, but this guy was phenomenal, so good he would have filled Caesars Palace there. Happy days, John (JKW)

One thing about this listed village is my older brother Albert who lived opposite the Oval in Bebington was buried  in the church there ,so it will always have my thoughts on such a lovely part of the Wirral
