Rugby World Cup

For some reason they did not come out of the blocks this time, but what I did not understand is why Ford did not start from the first kick off, he has played extremely well in previous matches. I reckon the Aussies spiked England's hot drink before the match started. But no sour grapes, the Aussies played very well with their game plan. I will feel better if one of the teams knock Wales out~ I am sick of brother in law in Caerphilly S. Wales rubbing it in, so my only wish is Goodbye Wales.. but that seems unpatriotic somehow! It may help if I find out his brand new big VW, 3 days old, is one of the ones under investigation, but please do not tell him, he is 3 times the size of me!!!

Well at least you both have no worries now. You can sit back and watch the Wales team show you what England were lacking.

EVO, OOOOOOH, you are off the Christmas card list!!!!!!! To be serious, Lancaster picked the wrong players in several positions for the Aussie match, (where was FORD???) and England never had the desire to win, unlike the Aussies, who showed England how to play rugby union. They were tremendous, solid, quick, skillful and determined. They will give any of the teams left in the competition a serious challenge, and a hard match. On the soccer front, Brendan Rodgers was on borrowed time from before the start of this season, he did not seem to inspire the team at any time, and in my opinion he was fanatically jealous of Stevie Gerrard. He has been on borrowed time for some months anyway. Moaner Mourino is at it again too, I think he must not have had his nappy changed for months, if not years, the way he keeps bleating, crying and complaining....Ditto for Wenger!!

Wales have their best chance in many a year to qualify for both the football and the rugby quarter finals. I wish them every good fortune. They beat England fair and square in the rugby and both teams play with a passion and national pride. We were in Tenerife a little while ago and we made friends with some Welsh people, absolutely rugby mad but they discounted my assessment that Wales might very well beat England, I wish I had been wrong!!

Sky news the "All blacks" home with the cup , the reception from the ground crews/staff looked impressive, the Hakka is intimidating especially done by guys of rugby size . There an argument about how rugby is changing, with the size of these guys they had tendencies of trying to run through the opposition,so looking the way New Zealand played through out the tournament they were going "round " ,like we did back in the days of our youth . Maybe the club management will relize that having their star players injured for months cause the way they played, yes rugby is a contact sport but remembering those great runs of wingers of the 60/70's era ( and they were not gross) ,so thanks to New Zealand we may see more of the beautiful game rugby instead of the brutal games we see now , let's have a game of skill not of Zombies
