Bob,  As regards not celebrating the sacrifices made by the armed forces and the civilian services of UK and her allies, that is a disgrace, and our politicians should be ashamed for not recognising them, and their sacrifices in life and limb.It should be remembered for eternity that their sacrifices were not in vain, but need to be remembered by recalling both the start and finish of WW2 by a service for each, in perpetuity.  You should know by now that our Leftie politicians, Corbyn and co., do not recognise that WW2 was necessary to destroy the plans of Nazi Germany and Japan, and nor do our leftie loons recognise that the western allies were the ones fighting for freedom. If Corbyn and co love the commie way of life so much, then let them go to live in USSR and see how they like it in practice. We do not need their like here.

now now Tom, there is no longer  a USSR   keep up, or all that service done by the BAOR boys and girls will have been in vain, and I feel that I must take you to task  and one or two others of our brethren who are always banging on about lefty this or that, when we talk about left and right of parties, and then right and left of centre, then far far, far right or left we must remember that we are talking of a circle, so the furthest left, and then furthest right are in reality standing next to one another, are you keeping up Tom, I find out under the freedom of information act that our predominately right wing guy, you know David Cameron (now that's a good Scottish name ) who last year grabbed the headlines by saying at the NATO summit that an order for 589 new specialist scout AFVs worth £3.5 billion and that would secure 1300 jobs  across UK . Oh dear , now it turns out that over 40% of that work will be out sourced abroad. General Dynamics UK sounds good that  OH dear its a massive engineering company in wait for it Tom AMERICA. This along with British forces uniforms contracts worth £75 Million, all but 5% was outsourced again to wait for it Tom, to Eastern Europe, India and OH dear another communist country namely China, not to mention the four  yes four 37,000 tonne refuelling tankers for the Royal Navy that where outsourced  to erm , erm, OH  dear OH dear, a country in the far East need I bang on about our right wing government, I must go now Tom and before I really get bon my hobby horse. It is just about the ONLY horse you could get on safely Bob!!! Come down off your high Shetland nag before you get dizzy, and just admit that you are a fine example of what us in Ingerland call pedantic. I am not concerned about what others call that great big communist state well to the north and north east of UK with a big red flag, it is a rose by any other name!! Work that out my great friend ! But to be serious, this country of ours is so bereft of the skills, the cash and the desire to produce good things any more, so we go for the cheap and nasty. A fine example of this is the crappy vehicles which the government have given our Regiment. How the mighty have fallen..... From Challenger 2 masters to dinky toys... OMG. These crappy vehicles are less battleworthy than a pushchair.. They would have trouble avoiding being called "son of Conqueror" (that 60 ton vehicle which had trouble getting out of our barracks in Detmold....) Written tongue in cheek, I admit. And if YOU go far too far left or right, guess where you will end up??? Right - Inside out... said in jest, (I am a friend really!!!)

Slow down you guys ,but(fuckin But) Bob is right about our present government, they are in the pocket of big business, and as we know that's multi national now,at least TATA have kept Jag/LandRover production in the UK (well for the time being)..........The bigger problem for UK limited is once these skills go (ship building, and other artisan trades go) we never seem to get industry back ( Welsh/Lancashire/Yorkshire coal for an example) So the northern towns /cities built on various industries are now becoming GHOST towns ,oh and are filling up with the souths  unwanted Migrants.....need I say anymore!

You should by now realise that regardless of what you or I think and I bet very strongly indeed, does not make the slightest bit of difference to those on pedestals of power. We are nobodies who believe in democracy (democracy is spouted by those who lie to get their own way ) it means nothing. Those who you have voted into office only only follow the words of those in power. Follow the government in power not what the people want.!!! I am a nobody with PC, no right of free speech or thought.

Why can we, the citizens of this United Kingdom, not have a NEW entry on our ballot papers? The one I am thinking of would be the one at the top of the list,  labelled "NONE OF THIS LIST" ??? So far, we have had no influence on democratic change in any elections held here, since all these candidates on the list are only in  there cos they can not get a real job anywhere. I would welcome this, if only to see these candidates faces when the only box ticked is the first box..... Now THAT is democracy in full.....Wishful thinking, I know, but something has to change, since the present setup is a comedy of errors to say the least. This is the only way we can get our "leaders" to change, and look after we voters, and not their own wants and desires. That is me for the Tower in a few days..... But I would love to see EVERY ballot paper with only the first box ticked. Then we could start anew... And Bob R and AlanJ would be vindicated. Along with me...
