Supreme Court’s Ruling

January 24, 2017

As many expected, the highest court in the land came out with a decision against the Government. The pleasing aspect was they also ruled the devolved administrations of NI, Wales & Scotland did NOT need separate consultations , much to the consternation of Wee Nicola Sturgeon ! She has now stated the SNP will table 50 amendments, aye right ! - she's got no chance of anyone allowing the SNP the time to debate all of them, they'll rightly be guillotined !! It's time she realised approximately 40% of her "kingdom" DID vote to leave the EU and stopped pandering to her own (not so well) hidden agenda for Indy2. She should also take on board that she is 1st Minister of a Devolved Administration, not the Fuhrer of the Third Reich ! In contrast, the LibDums will only agree to Article 50 if another Referendum on it's findings is held !! You couldn't make it up, their Leader and ex Leader (Clegg) are becoming a laughing stock, making even the shambolic Labour Party look useful !!

Supreme Court’s Ruling

I believe that most of us expected the results re the appeal. Interestingly enough although the SNP were told they have no direct input to the negotiations, they're still at it. Sturgeon took a group of her cronies out to Europe this week to meet up with some of EU non-entities. This of course at public expense. As I've said in the past, She claims to be speaking for the people of Scotland. On that subject I've done some further digging, (I just love the numbers) If you're still reading this message  here we go. There are 3,987,112 eligible voters in Scotland. 32.8% abstained by not voting. 62% of the remainder voted to remain, 38% of the remainder voted to leave. 2,681,179 actually voted, 1,666 papers were rejected. The SNP Zealots are always out in force when it comes to voting. I could provide you with more details but I'm starting to lose the will to live with this! I've said before, Gnasher Sturgeon is a chancer. She manipulates the figures to her advantage. As for that wee fat man with hairy legs (Salmond) The euthanasia programme looks inviting (for him of course) In parliament they're seen as an irritation. They achieve sweet FA. After all the wild statements made by her she's backing herself into a corner which may be difficult to get out of. As to the SNP government, the Scottish NHS is badly underfunded, transport is a mess and as for Police Scotland, words fail me.

Alfie, your figures seem to indicate, on my rough calculations, that less than 40 per cent of the Scottish electorate voted to remain in the EU. Sturgeon is all mouth and trousers. I watched an interview with Salmond last night he was told by the interviewer that Sturgeon won't call another independence referendum because she knows there is no appetite for it. He said she will do so, not this year but by the end of 2018, if we leave the single market. Well bully for that. The SNP are incensed that the law lords refused to make Westminster take legal cognisance of The Scottish Parliament's decision apropos the EU and the single market membership cessation. It's all smoke and mirrors, delaying tactics etc etc, Sturgeon is fiddling while Scotland burns, her obsession with interference in the whole Brexit issue is detrimental to the workfare of the very country she purports to be defending. Alfie is right, Scotland is beset with domestic shortcomings, heavily in debt and reliant on extra cash from the treasury just to maintain the status quo of its already beleaguered economy. .

Having come back to this. I find it quite interesting that our elected MPs take it upon themselves to vote against the wishes of their constituents . We all know that they're only interested in the views of the people when it comes to an election. Why don't our readers challenge their MPs and ask them why they're not going by the results of the majority of their constituents. This is why we elected them. The last thing they want is the threat of losing their place in the gravy train. Where we live in the Scottish Borders unfortunately we have an SNP MP in the Palace of Westminster. Does he do anything for us? NO. No job creation for the young unemployed, nothing. He, like the rest of the SNP MPs in the Commons are just a bunch of glove puppets. Gnashers hand up their back sides making them follow the party line. If not, into the naughty corner and lose their job. Contact your MP today and challenge them!

I'm going to stir the pot up ,at the moment I'm on holiday in an ex country ruled from Westminster till January 1947 ,they got their freedom from Mountbatten who was then the viceroy. So what have they achieved since ,600 million of their population can't read or write ,and for the last couple of decades they have been at war with their Muslim neighbour ( only last week 36 Indian soldiers killed on the border) . That with an average salary of a 100 rupees a day ( just over a quid since Brexit) child poverty rife, short life expectancy, woman treated like dare I say worst than dogs ,a caste system that's as bad as the slavery in the USA in the 18/19 century, see where I'm going . You can go round the world to ex British colonies who there for the grace of god the SNP want for Scotland ( not saying Scotland is a colony) just that Westminster may be a politicians club but since Charles 1 has given the people of the United Kingdom a life style that other people will never ever get and are traveling by rubber boats, backs of trucks even in the undercarriage of airplanes to get to . Alfie has the numbers, the SNP zealots have this idea that if they do their own thing that the streets will be paved in gold and honey ,they can't see further than the nose on their faces that together ( with us English/ Welsh/Irish) Scotland is a place to live out their days ,not a refugee camp on Hadrians wall .What the 1st Minister needs to do is her very best for her people, taking her eye off the ball in denigrating the lives of her fellow citizens, she has to sort out the things that matter to her people and not dream of a mythical yellow brick road, done pot stirred
