TM For PM

Gove's demise was a message from TM that she won't countenance treachery and disloyalty, John you are spot on, he went for his backstabbing of Boris. It is actually a shame because he has huge intellect, great experience and, but for his treachery, would have been guaranteed a major cabinet post. As for Labour, Angela Eagle leads the Labour Party PLP's unity movement in attempting to oust JC. Unity?? She can't even convince the rest of her colleagues to unite behind her as Owen has now also entered the contest to become leader. Labour is a total farce and in danger of becoming the new Lib/Dems of British politics. The Tories have shown Labour a master class in just how they can go from disarray, disunity and internal strife to reforming and strengthening their government in just 3 weeks.

I am very much hoping that today's media reports of TM sucking up to The Sturgeon are speculation. The Daily Telegraph reports TM has put Brexit on a bit of a back burner to wait for a UK wide approach that Scotland approves of. The talk now is of a 2 year period at least before it happens with no indication of when Article 50 will be declared. What part of "the referendum was a UK wide exercise" do some people not understand. The referendum never even hinted at it being necessary to achieve a majority one way or the other in all 4 constituent UK countries. What would have happened had Remain carried the day and England had (as it did) voted to leave? Would we then endure a similar procrastination about declaring our intentions because one of the countries voted differently to the others. Yes I know Ireland voted to remain as well but it seems only Scotland counts because of the fear of another independence vote.TM should start as she means to go on and leave Ms Sturgeon in no doubt that; we will leave the EU as speedily as is practical and beneficial to us and there will be no further independence vote for Scotland just as there will be no second EU membership vote. It is time for courage of convictions to prevail!!!'
