Bob, That is one of the things these EU morons have decided to forget. It was up to the Allies from many countries outside Europe who saved Europe from the curse of German domination for ALL of Europe, and yet the countries who sent their non European forces to remove the Nazi threat, and gave their lives for us to live in peace, under no domination from other European countries are again standing against German domination. We seem to have lost the plot somewhere along the way, buy not for much longer. The EU are a bunch of self centred and self important morons, but the present setup means they, and not us, are in charge of the mess THEY have made. But WE will win....

Bob, Ironic that, as you say, 72 years ago on this day many thousands of brave Servicemen & women fought & died but it's anniversary is now over shadowed (neglected ?) by DC's & Boris' continuing rhetoric over the very same chunk of land ! John (JKW)

None of today's politicians give a rat's arse about those who sacrificed their lives to ensure our sovreignty remained intact. Countries we helped liberate such as France, Greece and Italy now happily stab us in the back. No one expects us to live forever more on the gratitude  for having made such huge sacrifices but a bit of loyalty and support wouldn't go amiss. Germany strives to lead a federalised Europe, a western bloc that is controlled from the centre with its component parts dictated to by the EU. The EU in turn controlled by the might of the German economy and trade. Germany, the country which, entirely on its own, predicated the recent mass migration farce which will haunt us for many years to come. So: as we face the most important decision we are likely to face in our lifetime what do our politicians do? They fill the press and the airways with rhetoric and hyperbole, with lies and scaremongering, with political posturing. Opinions mean nothing, we need facts, people need to be in a position to make an informed decision unhindered by the ambitions of those who seek to influence us. Both sides are as bad as each other. Fortunately there are enough of us, I believe, with enough nous and knowledge to at least give the Leave cohort a fighting chance. I just can't reconcile the idea of winning the referendum and leaving with having Boris as. PM afterwards,
