Now the P M (our Teresa ) has got her act together (only taken 7 months) and put a plan of departure into bog bad world . Now we know it took Greenland 5 years to leave the EU ,and Canada took 7 years of negotiations to try and get a trade deal ( except for a province of Belgium) and Herr Junkers is now talking a fair deal for the U.K./EU who do you think would raise its little head above the parapet,Germany,France etc NO feckin MALTA. He must be really confident now that British holidaymakers don't go to mmmmm let's see Egypt,Tunisia,Lybia,Turkey,Greece ,Algeria ( did I miss anyone out?? yep Gambia)  that his little island will be very popular , and as a member ( number 26 and a half) he'll put any good deal with UK leaving will on his terms . mmmmmmm So Turkeys holiday business is fecked over 15000 hotels gone bust ,firms like Jewel in the Crown who dealt in holidays in Turkey and Mediterranean holidays for over 40 years down the tubes . Yes if we get a deal with limited Tarrifs from our major ex EU countries ( both ways ) I'd be happy but an isle state that relies on British holiday maker to keep it afloat, tail wagging the dog comes to mind ,not to mention it was a member of the commonwealth etc ( till Mintoff ) and strong British ties . Yes mister boss of Malta flex your muscles, talk the good fight for your supporters BUT remember who holds the purse strings and that the millions of Brits who spend their money in your country keeping your businesses afloat,or am I being unkind to the man ??????

Wasn't Malta a friend of Gaddafi? Do they receive International Aid from the UK. Insignificant man.

All I know about Malta is it's medal, and the terrible way we flew from Cyprus to Malta (en route back to UK in 1969) into the Airport, a pretty bad flight, landed there to pick up married families from the base there, who were returning to UK, made us shiver when we saw the flightpath through the hills, finally landed and picked up the mums and children from Malta, then going up the east coast of Italy we were hit by a thunder and lightning storm all the way up Italy, with us holding the kids on our knees to take their minds off the storms and flashes outside, trying to keep them happy (???) and us just as distraught as the families and kids. What a way to travel, but once landed and back in the Dale, a few pints helped us back to normality..... OK, maybe several pints.... Is Malta still above the waves or has it sunk under all the refugees??? Taking the little moronic leader with it???

Muscat, the Maltese PM doing all the posturing, is taking his turn as the Chair of The EU council, ergo his batting above his own weight rhetoric. Alfie, Malta did indeed receive shed loads of UK aid but I THINK it stopped on independence. I have decided not to get excited about all the shenanigans, the bully boy tactics etc that is an almost inevitable conclusion of the UK's Hard Brexit announcement. We IMPORT £70 billion worth of goods per annum  more than we EXPORT to the EU. Now applying my, admittedly not always brilliant logic to the issue, I come up with the conclusion that the EU won't want to do anything to stop that because there can only be one real loser. Reading between the lines I am now confident that we are beavering away behind closed doors striking all sorts of  potential trade deals outside of the EU in preparation of our exit from the single market.TM has a new found confidence and that has to come from somewhere, I suspect it is based on  the realisation that " things can only get better" and there really is life outside of the EU. For an erstwhile "remained" she certainly has the bit between her teeth. The whole new robust reaction of BJ, Hammond et al is a reflection of this new confidence and it is telling that the PM refused to censure BJ about his very appropriate WW2 retort to the threats of punishment from Monsieur Hollande. Onwards and upwards BUT we should not get carried away, the reckoning is, 2 Years to leave and a further 2 years to fully disengage.

Okay back to Article 50 and it's use of, can anyone remember when Castro and a few other countries around the world went off on their own through various shananigans like war etc it didn't take 2 years and then another 2 years to do your/their own thing ???? The logic astounds me ,yes a couple months/ years to settle in to the new way of doing things BUT come on the UK has been the backbone of the democratic world for centuries,Christ we gave most of the world a copy of our Parliament. Back to the point 4 years to be the Sovereign nation again ,we only joined a left wing club and now we don't want to play/ pay by their rules and as David so eloquently said they need us more than we need them to the tune of Billions. Surely it would only take an act of Parliament to back to 1970 laws and then look at which EU law would be beneficial to our people and put it on the statute books ?? Or am I being impatient being of the stock of people born in the British Empire and would like these mamby pamby politicians earning their high wages for a change to get it done before my grandkids have to fight another war to save Europe. I've just bought a pirated copy of Dads Army and when you consider the amount of homeless  "old service men/woman " unemployed they could police our airports/ports so our borders would be secure, giving them a chance to serve again and get them off the streets,a simplistic plan but if it worked 75 years ago ?? and we did have the home service force in the 80's under Maggie, just a thought . My tuppence worth for today ,back to the beach .

I just wish that HM Queen would just say those immortal words "Orf with their little EU Heads IMMEDIATELY" because the UK would accept that immediately and tell the EU mess to go forth and "Do Some Sums", or words to that effect..... It is all getting boring and childish, since UK know the EU are only after our money and OUR REAL friends.....
