I remember George well, great man, immensely strong, always smiling, ever ready to help out anyone who needed it. Another sad loss.

We were both Tp Sgts in "C" Sqn in BAOR , a great guy, a fund of D&M knowledge and a really hard worker, who had a ready chuckle irrespective of the problem / task ahead. Liked & respected by everyone, George was a credit to not only the Regiment, but his beloved Fiji. For those that don't know George, he transferred from 5RTR on their Amalgamation,  to the Greys, and was later further Amalgamated to SCOTS DG . Rest In Peace George, it was our pleasure t have served with you. John (JKW)

I never met George, but I know that all Fijians in the British Army were and still are all stalwarts, friendly and eager to do the job in hand with a smile and a strong handshake. What would the world be like without such men and women from Fiji? Rest in peace, your duty done.......
