Sad news that Jimmy Wood has recently passed on. Jimmy was ex Scots Greys and SCOTS DG. He left the regiment in Sennelager ending his career as a WO2. He was a really good golfer and a great guy, I never heard him have a bad word for anyone and he embraced the ethos of the new regiment with great passion. RIP Jim, another one taken far too early.

Yes Dave, I was shocked & saddened to hear of Jimmy's demise. Always a different Sqn to me , but were were near neighbours in Sennelager and our respective daughters were close friends, whilst Jimmy & I often shared a pint or three in the Mess. Apart from his passion for golf, he also had a sideline in selling insurance, from whom I bought my endowment policy which worked out brilliantly for me having got it before they all went t*ts up !! RIP Jim, yet another taken far too early. John (JKW)

I never knew Jimmy, but the feeling of comradeship comes through for me to give my condolences to his family and friends, he obviously has left a lot of memories of service and friendship to all who met and served with him. Rest In Peace, Jimmy, service well done. Tom
