Ken Day born 04/06/1935 died 18/01/2017. He enlisted in 3rd Carabiniers (POWDG) 24/02/1953 and served until amalgamation when he transferred to 14/20 Kings Hussars and retired 17/03/1972. He served in Aden 1960-61 and did two tours of Northern Ireland in the late 60's. He leaves his wife of over sixty years Ilse, his sons Michael and Robin and his daughters Fiona and Denise together with 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. He will be sadly missed not only by his family but by all those of us who served with him in the Regiment.

The funeral will be held at Stopsley Crematorium, Luton, Bedfordshire at 1430 hours 2 February 2017. All are welcome.

I spoke to Ken last Oct/Nov sadly suffering from dementia but after a few prompts remembered me.He was my tp Cpl in Aden where I baby sat for him in Crater. Great guy another of the old greats that are sadly no longer with us,RIP Ken
