I fully agree David ,these people are VERMIN, they are preying on the wrong people, our armed forces. It is these same people who are the guilty party, and this government should IMMEDIATELY stamp out these vermin, they are the worst of the worst, and yet if this nation were to arrest these morons, they would immediately cry for protection. They are not worth the ground a flea's left foot stands on, and should be eradicated immediately. And if any innocent party were to ask for them to be arrested and imprisoned  those asking would be arrested without a doubt. It is all about face, and should be stopped immediately. These lawyers involved are the true parasites, money grabbing morons. They would be the first to shout for protection if they were arrested and imprisoned for defaming our armed forces, of whom all of us should be proud. I know we  here are proud of them and detest the money grabbing sh one t's involved. Imprison them all now, for life.

it has come to pass that the law firm that pursued  the Iraq veterans has been closed down, one of the  main solicitors who brought that conglomeration of professional liars into being, has also been disbarred by his so called professional complaints commission, for fraudulent  presentation.   David surely you saw the thin end of the wedge with the introduction of the blue card and yellow card in NI. You are an intelligent person and well read person as are the users of this site, so you must have picked up on the fact way back that , councillors, party officials and MPs are only in it for their own benefit, I have yet to meet an MP who will give a straight yes or no answer, even more so when they are button holed in the media. I notice on one of the social media sites that , poor old Martin McGuiness had to forgo a jolly to China, apparently his doctor advised him not to go and to attend a cancer clinic instead and his results were not to good.I must lump myself in with all of those folk who wished him a long drawn out death, as his payback for his horrific misdeeds during his days as a an IRA terrorist, same man today different clothes.

THEY are nothing but verminous scum , unfit to be on the same planet as our loyal and brave servicemen who have been killed or maimed in "the troubles" by the Irish terror groups. There is no place for any of them in society and it is the rebellious terror groups who should be punished, and NOT the servicemen and women who were, and still are, keeping our CIVILISED country free and safe for us all. I MUST add, however, the rational members of the Irish populations are great and friendly people, unlike these rebel groups. Lots of our serving military have been, and still are from the island of Ireland, and have and still are serving our nation bravely and confidently. To them, I am eternally grateful for their service.

Over here on the isle of Ireland is a story doing the rounds about the murder of the chief prison officer at Port Laos prison back 1982 on the road out of Dublin . What's brought this to media attention is that that the sons of said officer was taken by Gerry Adams to meet the IRA killers of their father,he (Gerry Adams) has then supposedly sent the list of 4 people to the Garda ,which he (Gerry Adams) says he got from the sons after that meeting . The story from the 2sons is yes they were taken blindfolded in a blacked out van and were spoken to by someone reporting to be head of the IRA but NO names were mentioned ,further to that they have denied all knowledge of the names . Gerry Adams has stood in parliament spouting a statement on his version of this meeting ,now who are the media believing ,as all the brothers want is that someone answers in court for the murder of their dad ,and supposedly Gerry has the name of 4 people who were involved . So much for justice and reconciliation ,the IRA want it on their terms only and when their killers are jailed they are classed as freedom fighters against oppression ,well this prison officer was an Irish citizen doing his best for the Irish jail ,something smells to me !!!!

It always has and always will Bob, at the end of the day so to speak the Republic of Ireland has its own national police force, its own Army, Navy, not too sure about an Air force, so it stands to reason that any organization that calls itself Irish Republican Army  is perforce by its very nature an Illegal  Terrorist organization, this is recognised in international law. it was and is a travesty that the Irish government has played both ends against the middle. There is of course their conflict of interest, which will always be there.

We can pontificate all we want about how politicians are phoney, how we should not expect different from them, how the military has always been mistreated, the Kipling inspired  "Tommy Atkins"syndrome et al but none of that makes it right. None of it means we should sit back and accept the back stabbing of those who risk their lives to protect our country. None of it means we should ever accept the treacherous selling down the river of those sent into battle, those expected to forfeit limbs and life at the behest of the very politicians who then not only abandon them but allow them to be persecuted. Politicians who allow our military to be persecuted whilst supporting the "human rights of ex terrorists and murderers those same  service men and women were sent into subdue. Not just supporting the human rights of those terrorists but pardoning them of heinous crimes whilst allowing the good guys to suffer the ignominy of false accusations and soul destroying allegations of criminal behaviour resultant from combat tours that took place nearly 50 years ago in some cases. The PSNI witch hunt is a disgrace as is the IHAT inquiry and the whole shebang. The cabinet say they cannot intervene, who in their tight mind believes that? Are we really to believe that the police services are not answerable to the Government of the day? Are we really trying to maintain that ambulance chasing lawyers, funded by the Treasury from taxpayers money, cannot be reeled in or at least disenfranchised by having their public funding stopped? Like I said the whole thing is a vomit inducing disgrace.

How about charging and imprisoning those who are loose in society, committing  crimes in general and murder and attempted murder  everyday activities now, and many of the perpetrators are teenagers, both black and white, not only using knives, but handguns, hatchets, whatever they can get their hands on. The world has gone to pot without a doubt. And the powers that be are doing next to rock all about it.

It's good news week, someone's dropped a bomb somewhere, contaminating atmosphere and blackening the sky! Remember that song?  Well there Is some good news on this subject, well I say GOOD news, it's news at any rate. The Northern Ireland Minister has said the current investigation expenditure into nearly 380 soldiers who were involved in shootings during the NI troubles is disproportionate. He states that as 90 per cent of deaths in NI  during those years related to the murders of soldiers and civilians,  90 per cent of the time and money spent by PSNI should be directed there. PSNI has hitheto claimed there were insufficient resources to probe terrorist related murders ergo their intention to concentrate on the soldiers. A 75 year old Chelsea pensioner and a 70 year old former WO1 are the latest recipients of the justice system's perverse willingness to harass and persecute former servicemen some four decades and more after the event. What I want to know is, why hasn't the NI Minister stopped the whole damn farce in its tracks? Who is prompting the PSNI to pursue these old soldiers, who can even pretend to believe there can ever be  fair outcome to any of it. On this matter the Tories are behaving in a way that is treacherous towards those who risked their lives carrying out the orders of the governments of the day during the troubles in NI. In almost the same breath the MOD wonders why recruiting  figures are disasterously under target. Can any of you honestly tell me you would join today's army??
