If Cameron really does want British women in front line combat units, it will be hypocritical of him if HIS wife is not the first to be recruited to a front line unit, otherwise it would reek of favouritism and therefore against the law. He can not have it be seen that his wife is too valuable to the country (which she is not) to go and fight. God help the tank crews who get females on board, the femmes will want special treatments such as in turret showers, make up rooms, single separate sleeping spaces, loads of mirrors (make up etc) no swearing, curtains, pastel colours inside and outside the AFVs AND they will need to be the commander, none of this "do as you are told" not "what YOU want to do" nonsense. And crash outs would take weeks to take place, until the ladies are sure they are ready for duty. OMG what a bloody lark.....

Now guys settle down ,pull up a sand bag and put the boiling vessel on .....back in the 70 ( 76/77) when I was in the armoured support squadron at the Warminster Sch of Inf  we had female officers on courses who had to command either individual call signs or the troop ( with  our help )  on the plain . Personally woman could not be a tank crew member as they do not have body strength to cope with the everyday working on an A FV, over the years I have worked with and for females yes they are as bright and intelligent but lack in my eyes the strength to track bash/ ammo up let alone fill up by hand using jerrycans and then do a days work . This in theory sounds like they have a problem with recruiting , reason the bad vibes coming out of veterans being damaged and unemployed or homeless .....only time will tell if having woman part of a tank crew is a good idea ??
