Corbyn is Coming!!

May 26, 2017

TM has less than two weeks to turn around the fortunes of her Tory Party and get the huge majority she banked on receiving when calling this election - somehow I cannot see her doing it. The manifesto she issued was a calculated gamble that she hoped would balance the so-called gulf between the elderly and the young of today. That gamble has back fired in spectacular fashion, a 21% very comfortable lead now slashed to a very nervy 5% , caused in my humble opinion, by the Tory's inconsiderate treatment of the older generation, the very voters they should have been wooing, not persecuting. "Beware the wrath of the pensioners", who just might turn their back and either abstain, or vote for Labour (God forbid) or UKIP, purely in protest. To add to the mix, the Institute of Fiscal Studies have stated the Tory policies mean at least 5 more years of austerity - it was also stated that Labour's would virtually bankrupt the nation ! What we need is a combination of SOME of Labour's ideas along with SOME of the Tory's, without the ludicrous / crippling policies of either. We are sick & tired of austerity measures, equally sick & tired of Corbyn's pie in the sky proposals - we are NOT a 3rd World country, we are solvent enough to fund sufficient police & security agencies, the Armed Forces, the NHS, the education system, and care for those who have worked all their lives and contributed throughout. At present, the elderly are left to feel as if they are such a burden on the State they shouldn't even be here. Surely some relaxation of these perpetual austerity measures are now needed for all genuine hard working families and the retired to enjoy - I for one am sick of hearing the words "cuts" & "more cuts" whenever a reigning politician makes a statement about budgets. "Efficiency savings" is just another term for job losses or wage cap / cuts, both morale sapping in the extreme. Working people need an incentive, both for the present and the future, they've had enough of "doom 'n' gloom" - at present they cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel. Stop the overseas aid, or at the very least cut it back drastically, & use that money to fund what is needed so badly in OUR country. The "roll" that Labour's campaign is enjoying right now might just get them into power - if so, by the time they can bankrupt the country I will hope to have kept my WFA, the Triple Lock too, seen a better system for the care of the elderly, and seen some of their better ideas bear fruit . The fact that they'll pursue pacifist policies, let many thousand more immigrants (& terrorists) in, force entrepreneurs and major companies to flee our shores because of their taxation policies, and borrow so much money to fund their ideas that  they'll make Greece look solvent just  might all take effect after I've curled my toes up, but it's the future generations that will suffer. The Tory manifesto has turned into a nightmare for them - radical "U" turns will only weaken their position, therefore I fear it's too late to undo the damage, unless some "magic" is presented to the electorate very quickly - TM, I wish you luck ! I wish  I could disagree with your words John, I can't and it is both sad and disappointing. We will see the results in a couple of weeks, I don't have a particularly good feeling about it.

So the election is on at last ,remember Blair and John Major eighteen years of Maggy and co ,a forgone conclusion and a wipe out. Tony ( WMD) fame ,fucked up banks etc etc ,now the United Kingdom is suffering from decisions the Labour leaders made . Mass migration,NHS swamped by sheer numbers ,to name a few ,voting for this Jeremy guy is mainly for the children of the "me me generation " they think that it's their privilege to have it all now without working for it . The problem I see for the Labour Party if they rely on the younger voter is they a) don't vote b) haven't registered to vote, only us grey heads constantly turn up and vote . So TM has to get her act together, get rid that overseas aid program to what the country can afford to name one big herring. Whatever happens on June 8th Brexit is the challenge ahead ,we can't allow these mamby pamby non elected burocrats in Brussels think they can charged/fine the United Kingdom for leaving their boys club ,then if any political party thought it could pay these inflated monies with people taking to the streets ,we'll need I say more .

at least  7.4 million people have not registered to vote in the general election, leaving approximately 36.7 million eligible, let us see what the turn out comes out at, Theresa May and the Spanish/Mexican sounding guy are answering questions put to them tonight at 2030 on channel 4, it is to be hoped that she makes a better fist of it this time, and drops him good style.

Hi everyone, I haven't been on here for a few weeks. Mainly writing letters into the local newspapers about the SNP and their lack of managing Scotland. Somebody has to stand up and be counted. As to the polls. I've be researching how YouGov  comes up with their numbers. The take a selection of 7,000 people, apply a formula which also works out how some people may change their voting intentions in the last week before the election. They then apply this to every constituency in the UK and come up with their figures. They have also admitted there is a 20% error possibility. This is to say as an example, my old constituency in Surrey (Mole Valley) will fall to the Labour party. Fu....g impossible! True blue all the way through. Going on, I was talking to a farmer friend of mine at the weekend, he said if he was asked by a pollster who he would be voting for he said he'd just tell them a lot of rubbish. That's why we have to take the polls with a pinch of salt. These polls have been known to be flawed in the past.  Up here in Scotland, Sturgeon is taking a hammering from every angle. Her personal ratings are now in the minus figures. Our constituency should fall to the Conservatives but.... The SNP are very organised and they will get every supporter out. Whereas the rest of the electorate take a more relaxed view. This election may be different. There's a lot at stake here. The future of the UK and its standing in the world. I would like to think that common sense will prevail. However, common sense is not as common as we think! If the Labour party win, taking into account their past record of managing the economy, we're stuffed.  Dianne Abbott for Home Secretary? Reaching for the razor and exposing my wrists at the thought!

Corbyn is Coming!!

Hallo Lad's it's not very often that I write on any subject but i've just been watching our news with Martin Schulz speaking in Dortmund. Yesterday I heard Jeremy Corbyn speaking in Gladstonbury and I have come to the conclusion that if you put them both in a sack and hit it with a stick you would always hit the right one.

No fellas, the best way for Corbyn to prove his credibility would be if we shoved him head first into a 120mm main armament, fire the shot, then see if he has changed his mind when a multitude of bits of him emerge from the front end in due course. Wishful thinking by any multitude of people. And what was Corbyn doing at Glastonbury anyway, his music is off key , even to a deaf person....
