So tell me if I’m wrong but this guy (dead one) had been given a 12 year sentence for terrorist activity back in 2012 ,and was out on license . Shouldn’t he have been more closely monitored than what seems to been happening,A CONVICTED felon should have had an ankle bracelet so the police/ probation services knew where he was ALL the time . With modern technology this should be an easy to do ,then this IDIOT wouldn’t have been able to KILL innocent people going about their everyday life’s . My thoughts are that these people who are convicted for wanting to Kill should be in JAIL for life ,no TVs ,mobile phones ,or visitors and bread and water. Now am I wrong ????

He had appealed his original "Indeterminate" sentence & was re sentenced to 16 years jail. Not sure how he was released so soon, but he was "tagged" - whether he cut it off his ankle I know not, either way he should STILL have been in jail IMO which would have prevented yesterdays tragedy. I'm waiting for the "do - gooders & tree huggers" to start whingeing about the "poor man being shot whilst lying defenceless on the ground" !! The police & the public acted quickly, bravely & correctly & need to be applauded by all. Ironic that the bad guy has the same name as the infamous London Mayor !!! John (JKW)

In 2008 Labour introduced a statute that meant criminals, including terrorists, could be released without being subjected to parole board assessment automatically at the halfway point in their sentence. Khan was originally  sentenced in early 2012. The Tories repealed the statute in late 2012.  Khan’s initial indeterminate sentence was given by a judge who KNEW what would happen had he sentenced Khan to a determinate sentence. As we all know Khan appealed and his sentence was changed to 16 years ergo his early release last year. Khan had shown contrition whilst imprisoned, he renounced terrorism and played the system perfectly. He ticked all the ‘deradicalisation’ boxes and it is doubtful that a parole board assessment would have not freed him, so perfect was his charade. He had official permission to attend the meeting he said he was going to that day. His probation officer et al KNEW he was travelling to London. Corbyn blames the Tories for austerity and cuts to the prison, probation and police services. The Tories blame Labour for the 2008 statute that saw Khan released so early. The truth is we have a weak judicial system that allows terrorists to have the benefit of a ‘perpetrator before victim’  system. A system that Corbyn  believes should show compassion to terrorists and help them see the error of their ways. Khan is a prime example of why that truly idiotic ideology fails in practice. BJ promises a toughening up of sentences, that most criminals sentenced will serve their entire sentence. The truth of the matter is Corbyn IS a terrorist supporter, he defends terrorists rights, he protested publicly about  hate preacher Arjun Choudhary’s deportation to the USA. Khan was an acolyte of Choudhary and made contact with him AFTER Khan’s early release. But the Tories aren’t much better. They talk now about changing things when they have had 8 years to put laws in place that would have prevented soft soap judges from allowing appeals such as Khan’s. Murderers are given automatic life sentences and the courts can impose a minimum tariff of time to be served before being considered for parole. Terrorism could and should  have been included in that law. This country is in a dire state. It is too depressing to detail its many ills but I am so glad that I am in my later stages of life. Imagine growing up in a country where a madman, a terrorist supporting, marxist madman is a serious contender to be our PM!

I noticed Corbyn, on the Sophy Ridge Show, supported the fact the terrorist Khan was shot dead - I wonder, considering his past,  if he'd had shown such support if an election wasn't looming !?! I also noticed the Labour "money tree" is shedding loads again, promising a 33% rail fare reduction on January 1st if he gets in! Says the savings will come from VED (road tax) - obviously wants to price us off the roads, probably under usual umbrella of "cutting emissions". God help us all, and the country, if the Corbyn/McDonnell/Abbott trio get in. John (JKW)
