I confess I have heard enough rhetoric and scripted words of 'defiance' and unity, of resilience in the face of terrorism, of 'we will not be bowed, we will carry on regardless'. People ARE frightened, they ARE concerned, they ARE fed up of these attacks and the appalling loss of life. No, we can't aim off for every jihadist freaking madman who decides to commit suicide and takes random innocent passers by with him. But; we can do more to minimise the dangers. We can properly fund the police and intelligence services. We can round up all the suspects on the intelligence service radars and grill them, let them know they are under surveillance BEFORE they start planning their murders. We can deport them just as Australia does, we can and should arrest their friends and relatives after these rampages because many more people who are close to these murdering scum know far more about what they planned than they admit. We must vet immigrants from certain countries more closely, shut down all the radical Islamic schools and institutions where fundamentalism is preached, pass laws that allow the detention and deportation of anyone suspected of being involved in such activities or fails to report their knowledge of such. The police shot dead these three scumbags within 8 minutes of receiving the call about the onset of the attack. That is outastanding BUT we should not forget that such positive police action is no deterrent because these murderers revel in their own deaths, they WANT to die carrying out these attacks. The money spent on overseas aid would enhance the security of the nation, properly fund the police and security services, help undo the damage to the armed forces and repair the damage to the NHS. Why aren't the electorate listened to? Finally, I have decided to stop fretting about next week's election results. I am certain sanity will prevail and the Tories will win. The trouble is, them being the least worst option is a far from ideal state of affairs. My postal vote has already been cast and I can only begin to imagine the alternative choice becoming reality but I am disillusioned by the whole sorry state of affairs and severely diapsappointed in TM, a person in whom I had initially placed a lot of hope and trust. We live in very troubled times.

TM has declared "Enough is enough", something we all agree with, but unless there are radical changes made, similar to David's stated views above, then these attacks will continue. The reaction of the police in shooting these "people" dead within 8 minutes of their gutless attack was outstanding - would the outcome have been as efficiently secured in anywhere in the UK but London ? I have my doubts, because  obviously the resources are concentrated there, although that's probably the reason these sub humans plan their attacks in London knowing they'll be killed - in essence, they were suicide attackers, fully aware they'd be killed during their escape. I think "terrorist" is too kind a word for these scumbags - they are out & out cowardly, murdering, twisted & moronic imbeciles, who deserve to rot in whatever hell their bigoted religion tells them is "theirs". Their names should NOT be made public, to deny them the "fame" they crave. I am so bitterly angry over the attacks the UK has suffered, these last 3 months in particular, and if anyone from IS states they were "soldiers" of Islamic State, then I will gladly spit in their face, take them on and prove what real soldiers are made of. Yes, enough is enough, Prime Minister, so now let's see what backbone you've really got, to eradicate what's become a cancer in our society, the so called Muslim extremists. To avoid a potential Election upset, whilst Corbyn would need to "discuss /judge circumstances", if TM immediately U Turns (I know) on the pledge to fund the Overseas Aid budget and promised to give that money to pay for our concentrated attack on extremism, the NHS , increased police / security forces, then she would surely get the landslide victory the country deserves. Time to prove your worth Prime Minister - do not let us down. John (JKW)

There's a growing problem with kids being born in the west , you take in the parents as asylum seekers and the offsprings are being brain washed by the Internet. TM has said that the World Wide Web has to monitor the trash being published, the problem as I see it with the modern British kid is they all have a phone ,access to the net . What can be done to reduce this problem, and as a grandfather of teenagers who all have this means of communication , I have spoken to my offsprings about more supervision reducing time spent on their phone/ internet. An example is that my middle granddaughter text down to her mother for a cup of tea ,what happened to getting off your arse and going down stairs and  asking for a cuppa. That's one solution. Another solution is to stop having ghettos in our major towns/cities  , I remember towns like Oldham,Bradford even little Rochdale having NO GO areas for whites ( can I say that ) where gangs of Asian youths patrolled the streets hurling abuse at passerbys . The French have similar problems with their towns/ cities, and if anyone can remember Germany were the Turkish workers families we're ghettoised, again causing problems. We in the West have to hold our hands up and stop segregation getting the population together as one . Now that's going to take years ,and time is not on our side ,NEW LAWS and more people who break these laws expulsion, I never thought I'd ever say that EXPULSION !! get them offenders out out the country send them back to their country of origin. Having a BRITISH PASSPORT is a privilege not a RIGHT ,kick them and their families out . Finally as in Northern Ireland ARM the police.

So now it's official. John, Bob and my own modest self are officially contributors to the Daily Mail. How come I hear you say. Well today's edition carries a full page comment from the editor inter alia espousing the entire contents of our three posts, right down to the 'fed up of all the rhetoric and platitudes' opening comment I made. I am a Daily Telegraph reader usually but I added the Mail to my daily newspaper list just for the day to gain a different media perspective of the recent London murders and mayhem. It makes interesting reading!!

whilst I concur with most of the posts above and they do encapsulate the problems and some of the solutions, I would like to point out the following, I appreciate the gravity of the situation in London, and applaud the response time and outcome of the 8 minutes later. however, as far as I have been able to ascertain all three were shot by one police man, considering , 1, it was night time and visibility was not 100%, these scum were wearing what purported to be suicide vests, surely head shots were the order of the day. three times three = nine, so 50 rounds were fired, some more training methinks, however job done. with reference to letting their name be known, it is swings and roundabouts on the security side, as to their neighbours etc, at the time of writing one name is being withheld, cat amongst the pigeons so to speak. The internet/facebook, twitter, etc   can all be unplugged by the government just as they do in China and Russia, North Korea etc, I know freedom of speech etc but these big corporations have revenues bigger than most countries, it is a threat that they understand, and should be used, considering that they pay a pittance in taxes. with reference to the ghettos, you will find that they gravitate towards their own, 99% of the time, and therefore almost become closed communities, over 60% of the women cannot speak English therefore cannot work, 70% are on social security. of the men 15% refuse to speak English, over 60% are on benefits of one sort or another, it is not a leaf that should be taken out of AUSTRALIA/USA,s  book but a bloody tree, don't speak the lingo NO ENTRY, I see that ANGOLA has banned the Islam religion and closed down all mosque,s Christianity is the only religion allowed to be practiced In JAPAN it against their law to practice Islam or agitate for any mosques to be built , the penalty for disobeying is immediate expulsion from Japan for the perpetrator and their family. In all the countries named it is considered as subversion, rant over for the time being.

Bob I agree English must be spoken ,but there are a couple of problems as this Daily Mail reporter sees raising their ugly head . Muslims can have numerous wife's . Muslims mostly marry within their families ,so cousins from their home country with NO English are married. If a Muslim girl is westernised they are " honour killings " . The shariah law that Muslims have is all for the man not the woman. The Koran is interpreted by man ,meaning the man ( iman ) version is law .  Equality has no place in the Muslim religion. One of the richest country's is Saudi, they financed most of the mosques in the world . ( as you know woman aren't allowed to drive, talk to a man other than family members etc. ) I did etc as I'd be posting for an hour just on the pre- medieval laws practiced by Muslims. Oh going back to Saudi they purchase  weapons from most countries so upsetting the Apple cart comes to mind  ,and as of yesterday Qatar has been ostracised by Saudi, meaning no Arab nation will fly in / out of Qatar ,so much for the 2022 World Cup. The 64 dollar question, " has British politicians got the backbone to a) close mosques or reduce the building of said building b) deport terrorists families and if the guy is in jail not pay benefits to families c) be more pro-active combating shariah law decisions having the law from Westminster as the law of the land . Maybe it's a wish list but it's a start .
