Bob lad I sympathise with you ,this cretinous politician is only getting a " knighthood " like the other cretins of the lying Lib-Dems who also have this honour.Yes we will remove students fees ( but not in our term of office) ,the same goes for the Corbyn party " offer anything " and cripple the country for the next century.

Me neither Bob - he is an ardent Remainer who was prepared to sell his soul and deny the democratic will of the people in his quest to secure a top post in Brussels. His constituents saw through Nick Clegg, hence his embarrassing loss at the ballot box - surely the PM can see it too ?  John (JKW)

Clegg managed to lose more seats during his tenure as leader of the Lib/Dems than any of his predecessors. He lied, he reneged on promises, he backstabbed Cameron over boundary changes, he lost his seat because his own backers and electorate turned against him. What’s not to reward about that! I am surprised only a ‘K’ is being muted, I would have expected, on past experience and precedence, for him to be made a Lord a la that other great doyen of modern British politics Prescott. Another lying, cheating, hypocritical moron. The whole upper grades of our honours and awards system is strewn with corruption, nepotism and favouritism, the ‘old school tie’ network, the buy off system that prevails amongst the political elite all combine to make it a den of inequity and consequently a source of derision amongst the population at large. No one respects or admires these people, there is no honour in being rewarded for failure and ineptitude. I was once an admirer of Cameron I must confess, but his resignation honours and awards list was one of the worst in modern history. TM acknowledged that tacitly and now looks to be treading the same path. Like John I fail to see why she can’t see that!

I see Lord Hestletine is advocating for a Labour Party to regain power in order to stop Brexit - what a hypocrite ! His twisted theory is that Labour, as a Government, would take us out of Brexit, make their usual a*se of  governing & then be voted out for the Tories to then regain power. Hestletine, along with his cohort Ken Clarke, are stuck in a time warp & need to move on / out and leave it to more modern thinkers. John (JKW)

Re the double posting. I would like to be able to say it wasn’t my fault, I can’t, it was! I double tapped. Before I tapped the reply box I said to myself, only tap once, some inexplicable force or whatever caused me to ignore my own advice and I couldn’t stop myself double tapping. I’m sorry. It is annoying I know. I know I need to wait a bit after tapping but that’s not even the reason it happens, I just automatically double tap because half the time on my iPad the first tap doesn’t register. Except when I don’t want it to. Like now. I consider myself chastised. Let’s see if I can manage to post this just the once.

My god it seems to be catching this ineptitude, as I was trying to say David the further into your post you got I could envisage your blood pressure rising, to the point of losing control over (wait for it ) your tapping finger, one can only applaud the regaining of that control after only two taps, heh heh.

Hi Bob, I don’t really get angry anymore about things I can’t change so I can’t use that as an excuse. It was a simple reflex action borne out of my iPad never usually accepting my first tap for some reason ergo a developed propensity for double tapping. Having said that I do really despise both Clegg and Prescott lol.
