And Cameron can not start even thinking of direct military action against the ISIS scum, cos comrade Cobyn will not agree, and the government NEED the agreement of ALL political parties before they can take any action. Welcome to the newly created communist state of  Russki Britun..... and their ally Insanity State of Islamica, led by Brother Corbyn At least I did NOT vote for Corbyn's Comic (oops, communist) State.

We invaded Iraq. No need to do so, no threat to the West. We invaded Afghanistan. no need to do so. No threat to the West. Now, when we are faced with a real threat, a threat probably as great as Hitler was when we first chose to ignore him, we can't unite to destroy those who would destroy us. The Schengen Agreement is in tatters. Merkel and her dangerously suicidal ideology of offering "sanctuary" to eveyone is now well and truly chastised as the whole of Europe seeks to regain control of their borders. One of the Paris murdering scum has already been identified as a " Syrian refugee" who landed on one of the Greek islands and was given free access to the European mainland. Regular posters on this site have recognised, from the onset of the ISIL atrocities, the need for boots on the ground to combat these murdering fanatics. the Kurds are crying out for support. Meanwhile we spit our dummies out and row with Russia over who to bomb and who not to bomb. The US take out Jihadi John for us even though we had the where with all to do so ourselves. BUT, there we stand, an impotent, spent, erstwhile  respected world power., rendered helpless by a nerdy, beardy bloke too cowardly to face up to the realities of the world today. It is a disgusting situation we find ourselves in as we watch radically fanatic enemies take advantage of our inertia, our inability to defend ourselves properly, as ISIL bomb their way into our  heartlands. I am bemused and saddened that we have sunk so low so quickly. I am disgusted at our hapless inability to take decisive action, at our head in the sand attitude. Meanwhile ISIL revels in our stupidity knowing we will only see the wood for the trees once it is too late!!

Those murdering cowards in Paris shot / bombed places where innocent people ate & drank, attended a rock concert, and/or  watched a football match - why ? They selected these venues because it doesn't suit their chosen, miserable way of life. Well, their cultural habits get right up my nose too, so the obvious solution, if our way of life doesn't suit, get back to where you can enjoy your primitive, ignorant and filthy habits, and if you wish to continue your murderous ways, kill each other. It's so obvious now, even to Angela Merkel, that the "wonderful open border" policy has created a disaster - ALL European borders must now be sealed, ALL potential radicals must be exiled without any appeal whatever the liberal hand wringers say, and I personally would insist that any Muslim wishing to remain in this country dresses accordingly (ie, no Burkha's for females, no long "frocks" for males) - I would also insist they get shaved too, but I expect Comrade Corbyn would vetoe that idea ! Here's a query for all you experts on NATO ,France has said its at War !!! Does that mean what it meant back in the day of the Cold War ????.Will the rest of NATO come to their aid as per the agreement or is is the president of France playing politics ???? No he wouldn't do that would he BUT he is a politician .......Monday after the weekend of shock &horror in Paris ,air strikes ,police raids ,arrests etc But the main man who was stopped then let go is still out there , and if some of the news(Sky) is to believed they had rocket launchers (RPGs ) too . This open borders is dead ( thank god)  and proper checks are made ( but technology to copy/make fakes is everywhere ) so the security forces are on hiding to none.I would suggest positive discrimination ,but as we have Europeen converts to Islam and they are crazy too , but at least stopping  75 year old pensioner hobbling on a stick is not a priority ,but a guy in a dress and a beard or a woman in a tent .....thinking when I had a motorbike wearing a helmet was a No-No so all these in my eyes funny outfits should be banned ,after all they say they want to live here in peace in the 21st century not dressed like the 6th or am I being a racist or anti Islam .........anyway was it an act of War will Article 5 be on the table ?????? Answers to David Cameron or your local MP !!!!!!

Bob , You may as well talk to a 40 ft high x 40ft thick wall as talk to Camergoon, he is all waffle and no guts. He is even scared of his own shadow, even though it would hardy cover a 2nd class postage stamp. He struts and waffles, but does nothing of real meaning. And Corbyn and co should now be arrested for crimes against this country and its security, the  maniacs. Where is a modern Churchill when we need him??

I am ashamed of this Govt. Cameron speaks of the US and Russia joining forces with the EU countries and the Kurds to defeat ISIL. We can't even get a mandate to bomb the bastards in Syria!!!! Cameron is afraid of taking the issue to Parliament in case he loses the vote. The trouble is he has NO plan of action other than... let's bomb them. Where are all the brass hats  in this issue?? Who is drawing up battle plans, who is liaising militarily with the other countries already carrying out bombing raids on Syrian based ISIL strongholds. Cameron needs to address Parliament and tell Corbyn and his acolytes we can no longer sit and wring our hands waiting for others to do what we should be doing as well. He should tell Parliament what cowards and prats we appear to the rest of our allies. Obama has yet again ruled out any chance of US boots on the ground. there is NO cohesive, determined plan to beat ISIL. Nothing short of a massive landforce combined with a concerted and cohesive aerial bombardment will solve the problem. We are wasting our time with the current strategy of piecemeal aerial raids, everyone doing their own thing et al. the Kurds are the only boots on the ground achieving anything and they are desperately undergunned and unsupported. ISIL must be obliterated, wiped from the face of the earth, sadly, once the Paris furore has died down and half forgotten, as these tragedies inevitably are ( who speaks of 9/11 now or the London bombs?), everything will revert to the status quo. I keep saying it, we will only realize our mistakes once it is too late. I heard Corbyn last evening on the news saying how a shoot to kill policy for terrorists is wrong, how military action against ISIL is pointless and we need to negotiate with them. What planet does this  moron live on!!

one really must get a grip of things ,and stop shouting about massive land forces to over come ISIS, there are enough home grown disaffected idealists in each of the 28 EU countries to have a Paris every week. and unfortunately there is bugger all we can do about it, not really wanting to go down the mud slinging route alas we have to.Yesterday  the knee jerk reaction to the latest bar one of ISIS atroscities is.  there will be an expansion of GCHQ Staff/MI5/MI6 to the tune of 2000 new operatives, it takes between two and six years to train theses people to an acceptable standard, then again  Theresa May , or may not like having this pushed onto her portfolio, we must also remember that  due to this government, we no longer have an Army or Navy or Air Force capable of dealing the crushing blow that is required to take out this terrorist organization. At the moment we have the massive total of 4 pardon, yes 4 aircraft operating in the bombing role in the middle east. We no longer have a carrier capability due once again to this governments cuts to the Royal Navy to put it bluntly, thanks to the meddling politicians of the conservatives and the now defunct liberal lapdogs this country is once again on its defensive knees. The is a cycle in which we seem to be caught with our pants down, ie; a shortfall in men arms and equipment, just to hark back to the extra 2000 spies etc that we are getting; suddenly we are informed the SAS are to get a wacking great share of £ 2 billion to get hi tech equipment to take on the ISIS at their own game. question why have they not got this equipment already, erm, defence cuts. austerity etc let us cut our steel works and save some money, never mind the Chinese dumping cheap steel here we will just let just short of 6000 steelworkers lose their occupations, these men some on £25/35 thousand  per annum in a skilled workforce now having to accept a zero hours contract making rolls in a Subway outlet. meanwhile this all seeing government of ours is buying special standard steel worth, just under£4 billion pardon yes£4 billion  which our own steel works can and have done for decades, to make, are you sitting comfortably three ships for the Royal Navy  at just under £340 million and the remainder on I think the figure was 379 afv,s. I wonder who builds the aircraft carriers and afv,s  for France? I guess it is the French shipyards. I must also wonder who builds the German leopards and other afv,s as well as their naval vessels, erm at a rough guess maybe Krupps ?The other atrocity by the way the plane bombed out of sky over EGYPT with mostly Russian passengers and crew about 250 or so has been claimed by ISIS. So now we will see how the Russians and Mr Putin will react. one must also remember John Stalker and the shoot to kill policy. I have no thoughts on Mr Corbyn  , other than Micheal Foot, and the wheel returning. regards to all bob

Bob good morning ,nice to read a post that tells "it" as it is ,BUT in posts gone by we have discussed the demise of the heavy industry of the U.K. ,the Corbyns of this world are great in theory, YES  he's a Michael Foote junior  ,there is a place in the modern world for people of his ilk ,BUT we need a Churchill. Your on the ball with the knee jerk re-actions by the present government ,all they want is a job on the board when they finish fucking the rest of the country. We know it takes at least a couple of years to train people up to a standered  acceptable ,so that they can protect this country of ours ,living on Merseyside as you do you still have a fair sized car industry ( OK owned by the Yanks/India) and listening to talk on the weekend Lairds is employing a 1000 more for a big job ?(when I worked there ,there was 17000 ) now that Bae own most of the defence industry places like Leeds have run down building trucks not AFVs.....Now our Armed forces have literally stopped recruiting ,I know this as I have a very highly educated Riley (honours degree) in engineering from John Moore has been waiting 5 months for an interview for the Royal Navy,so all the extra money ( the stuff they cut last year) will be too little too late . We all grumble as we remember the short coming we put up with in our service days ,and the stories of no body armour etc,yes the drones are great tool but you have to have men/ woman to operate them ,and as the present government see ££ signs for service person then you get the word we used to use " over stretch " . So nothing has changed ,it's not PIRA on the streets it's ISIS ,not catholic but Muslim they claim British nationality because we allowed their parents etc into the country too prosper , most of these migrants are peaceful ( like my Irish grandparents) , but the kids of today are so insular living on the net/mobile phones so when their Inman tells them we are infidels and need to be destroyed .....they follow like sheep ......so much so that when the French police start doing their job arresting people of interest that they blow themselves up ( as this woman today) yes it's a big adventure for them away from the safe humdrum life of the world they in . Is there an easy answer NO, we are a dying swan of a country ,wanting to waste money on loads of hair brained ideas ( high speed trains etc) when we should make our defence ,wether police or military are top priority ( not like public libraries spend £200m on signs in foreign language) we are the United Kingdom our language is ENGLISH so why do have people living here 20/30 years and not speak it ??? But they love our benefits !!!as you can read from my rambling notes there are more questions than answers . The world we grew up in and served our country has changed one the the "me" society ,yes I would love the good things we had in our youth ,they call it progress and it's going to run right over the top of you !!!!!  ps ...nice to see you back Bob

It's fine to declare "we should get a grip on things and stop shouting about massive land forces" (sic) but does ANYONE believe ISIS will be defeated by air strikes alone? No one is pretending the UK can furnish those forces and the demise of our military is a different argument that has been well discussed countless times. That all notwithstanding anyone with any military knowledge accepts there is NO answer to boots on the ground when it comes to holding and safeguarding territory won on the battle fields. We need a determined, well equipped  multi lateral cohesive land force to obliterate ISIS and destroy the Caliphate they are slowly but surely building, We should obviously play our part but no one country will achieve that aim alone.  Bob; the argument you propound apropos ISIS terrorists being present in most of our countries is factually correct but it singularly fails to address  they are there because ISIS is strong, because they reap $1million per day income from the captured oilfields they hold, because of their very existence and the news headlines they generate, because we have hitherto taken the stance you seem to advocate that "there is bugger all we can do about it"! What SHOULD we do, accept it and roll over? Until ISIS is obliterated the terrorist activities carried out by their converts will continue. Simplistic I know but the old maxim of kill the head and the body will also die.is often the only remedy. As I keep saying, the world will wake up to what needs to be done once it is too late!! Apropos

The ONLY good thing to possibly come out of the recent tragedies (Russian aircraft & Paris) is the potential "marrying up" of the combined forces of the USA, France, Russia & the UK to tackle & obliterate the murdering scum masquerading as "fighters". A fighter is someone who faces an opponent in the boxing ring, a fighter is someone in the military who goes to war & follows the rules and is accountable for their actions. To call any member of ISIS a "fighter" is an insult to all the professional military personnel throughout the world who do "follow the rules". These scumbags should NOT be referred to as "fighters", when in reality they are COWARDS - what is courageous about individuals covering themselves head to foot in dark clothing, having enough weapons to fight an army but do not have the guts to do so ? They prefer to turn their weapons on innocent people, the ultimate "soft" targets, and wear a suicide belt to ensure they're not taken alive to be held to account. This is not courage, but COWARDICE in any language. My next "rant" is against the media, who portray some of these cowards as "masterminds", thus affording them some sort of cult status. What sort of exceptional planning does it take to select three venues in a city where throngs of innocents will gather, and then select a few cowards to go there and with guns blazing & wearing suicide vests ? The sooner ALL the powers that be get their act together and join forces to destroy with whatever means the evil that is ISIS, both here at home & abroad, the sooner the world will be at (relative) peace again. There, I feel better having got that off my chest ! John (JKW)

On a Thursday night I put the toast on and a cup of tea sit and move the dial to BBC 1 for question time ,with the happening I particularly looking foreword to last night discussions , let's see what the British public are worried/ interested in......as usual we had a diverse panel including a Russian reporter. The answers as usual are on party lines till the labour guy and female Tory squared off against each other ,talk about spitting your dummy out, listening to some of the audience replies I'm thinking what planet do they live on. Max Hasting ( Sir) was the only person to ask or reply with sensible thoughts ,the western world has to get its act together ( obviously ) yes the happening around the world ( now Mali) are terrible but ISIS is not Hitler ,they have a very good PR system ( 24/7 news) , we have to find who is financing these terrorists sort them out ( I see the Russians are bombing tankers) stop the money. Next is for our EU partners to get a grip of their border controls ( seeing that some of these people had all sorts of arrest warrants on them) yet they moved around Europe with impunity ,at least the UK's people are talking to each other. If and when the government decides to join an alliance to stamp this plague out ,they are more worries if history will say " was it legal" people are dying because they went out for a drink / show ,the response is to ring their hands say it wasn't us honest . Now that the UK is possibly on the target list with God knows how many of these radicals back from the Middle East home in Rochdale,Oldham,Bradford etc etc you get my drift ,they are going ( government ) to safe a few pounds and reduce the police in London by 5000 officers ,instead of recruiting more and having more armed police ( point of interest the French have 120000 armed police,London 6000 ) on the streets ...it's easy for me to spout on but has anyone in the powers that be got any idea how to deal with the challenges ahead with their party political doctorine ???????

JKW; my thoughts entirely! ISIS can only ever be beaten once the global powers unite to defeat them. They can go back to the status quo afterwards but ISIS is a threat to all of us. Bob Riley; you are right, ISIS isn't Hitler but the atrocities they commit are easily on a par with those he committed just on a slightly smaller scale.!! Left alone to grow and flourish ISIS will become just as big a threat to world peace because they are deranged, they have no reasoned thought process, their single ideology is to form a huge middle eastern caliphate from whence they can terrorise all who don't subscribe to their evil scumbag doctrines. The world's superpowers have already left it too late, ISIS should have been eradicated right at the beginning when the atrocities began, now they are well funded, well recruited from all the western countries who gave their recruits a home, health care, education et al and full of confidence. Only a united force will defeat them now and every day the spats about who does what, who bombs who et al only serves to make ISIS stronger. We need to forget about deposing Assad which is the main blocking issue to Russia joining forces with the west. Assad represents no threat to the west, we can't simply impose democracy on the world when half of them despise it and all it represents. After all; it hasn't been an unqualified success for the western world if we are truthful! Home grown terrorism will flourish as long as ISIS thrive. I know we had terrorism before ISIS but it has grown exponentially, across Europe, as ISIS gains more and more strength. We also need the EU countries to reinstate their border controls. The Schengen Accord is no longer viable and offers unhindered and easy trans -European travel to those who would do us harm. The Paris atrocities bear testimony to that!! The mass influx of Arab immigrants is also a God given gift to ISIS terrorists who have infiltrated the whole refugee system. God knows how many ISIS murderers are now resident in Germany enjoying Frau Merkel's open door hospitality. We can pontificate all day. We are watching as Rome burns. The West WILL pay the penalty for its lax and irresponsible attitude towards the eradication of ISIS. Meanwhile we are to give Turkey over £400 million to help with their immigration crisis. Turkey bombs the Kurds who are the only ground forces fighting ISIS AND Turkey buys most of the oil ISIS sells from its captured oil fields. You couldn't make it up!!

David,John and the other members reading ....Saturday 21st November 2016 we the free world (UN) have declared war on Radical Islam ......took them long enough and god knows how many innocent lives to get here ,after the latest in Mali the politicians had to get their act together. What the British contribution will be that's a big question ( with the military cuts ) what can we do ??? At the moment Asad is the elephant in the room ,do we have a guy who has been naughty and leave him for another day  or the lunatics that are threatening the world , the only problem after Lybia /Tunisia /Iraq letting the people have their say the radicals come out of the woodwork again. Wasn't it easier when we had the empire ,send a gun boat and a battalion of infantry to sort it out ,now the threat is living in our towns/cities as so called citizens of our countries . They have agreed that open borders DON'T work ,but the damage has been done , yep they will have employ more Border agency or whatever ,now going into passport control will be as bad as clearing immigration in the USA (take a good book) remember the east/west German border will the like appear all over Europe ,thanks to the Channel we have a lessor task. Hold your hands up if you think the present spending reviewe due next  week will have to be revised if they expect our military /security in their present size can make an impact ( with projected cuts )on the problems ahead . So as usual people have to die before the left decide to join the real world ,bombing as we know on its own won't work so WHO is going supply the boots on the ground , ???????????????????
