Socialism !?!

August 14, 2017

A female  local Labour MP was on our our Midland news tonight stating that 148,000 local kids who usually got free school meals were now starving because the schools were closed for the holidays ! Some well meaning  do gooders had opened their doors and arranged to feed loads of them, & the cameras captured the moment. NONE of these kids looked starving to me, in fact some of 'em were bloody fat ! The MP continued her rhetoric, saying these "poor kids" would return to school in September "impoverished & unable to concentrate on their education"  - what poppycock, and whatever happened to parental responsibilities ? If a parent cannot feed their child, then take the mobiles off them, cancel their finger nail & tattoo appointments, and take the child into care, whilst stopping the child benefits. Genuine cases of severe hardship I can accept does happen but I do believe the vast majority are not so affected and this Labour MP is just trying to make a name for herself by taking socialism too far - parents must be held accountable and not expect the State ,or do gooders, to do their "job". John there is an old saying " if you can't feed em don't breed em " . You'll notice we have been feeding the world since the 80's  , what happens to the governments of those countries, yep politicians just want the newspaper headlines and money's. The same for MP in your post ,people have to be responsible for their own ,the state is there for their welfare ( medical, education) not to feed them . Then you wonder why there are so many failed kids out there ,just following the example of their parents taking no responsibilities let someone else do the job for them.

Socialism !?!

Socialism as an ideology, a social concept, is fine in theory. In practice it quickly degenerates, look at those fine upstanding socialists Corbyn and Abbot. Both sent their kids to fee paying private schools albeit Corbyn says he railed against his then wife doing so. Both live in houses valued at £600k plus, both draw  fat pay checks and expenses with Abbot prepared to do anything that provides a paying fee. True socialists would be sharing their wealth with the less fortunate, using the same schools as the masses etc etc. The vast majority of socialists are those who can't afford, or be arsed, to be capitalists. No Labour MP is a true socialist, they are all hypocrites who ascribe to that doctrine when it suits them. As for the alleged 148.000 starving kids where did she get that figure from? If it is purely the number of kids receiving free school meals in her area, which I find hard to believe, at least 75% of their parents will likely be scamming that benefit. There are undoubtedly families who struggle to provide balanced diets for their kids but these are a very small minority. There are plenty of families who CHOOSE to spend their money on things OTHER than decent food for their kids and cry poverty when it suits them. The biggest problem we have with benefits is ensuring those who are genuinely needy receive what they require as opposed to those who are idle scammers milking the state system for all it is worth.
