What Price reaching 70

Insurance premiums are always calculated on the inherent risk factors specific to the insured, that bis a fact of life and has always been so. Present a higher risk and you will either pay more or be refused. The fact is, older travellers with certain conditions DO present a higher risk to the underwriters than many other people. That might not seem fair but life is generally so....unfair. I pay very low insurance premiums on both our cars. We live in a  small cul-de-sac, in a low crime area village, one car is garaged the other is parked on our private, sole use drive. My wife and I both have maximum no claims bonuses, we are both over 65, neither of us clock up excess mileages ergo we are low risk and attract low insurance premiums. Travel insurance is no different and applies the same principles. Even young healthy people with no known diseases, ailments or afflictions pay more if they want insurance for high risk activities apropos of which, Robert, that's why young people pay up to 15x more for their car insurance than us old codgers. It is swings and roundabouts my friend. the rough with the smooth. As an aside, what human rights??? When you get old you have no human rights!! just joking!!
