Well, as everyone expected, Boris is to be our next PM. Despite his obvious buffoonery, he is intelligent & not afraid to speak his mind, and did a far better job as London Mayor than Sadiq Khan ever has. There is hope in my eyes, mainly because the "vipers" have all resigned - our new PM must now promote into his circle ONLY  dedicated "Leavers", who will give him the support & loyal backing TM never enjoyed. Boris is strong , & wily enough, to take on the "Remainers" in both his own Party & within Labour, but he will "live & die" by his own sword, ie, get us out of the EU asap. John (JKW)

To think the United Kingdom has had a parliament since Magna Carta ,and we've had some dodgy PM's over the years . Making comparisons on who ,what and when kept us free from outside threats/ problems ,now Boris has joined ( I hope) a small band of politicians who will do just that . We've seen the feck up in the Gulf due the Royal Navy not having enough ships to protect British shipping , due to the " peace dividend " ( forgetting that it was our military strength that stop banana States from attacking us) ,so now we have an army small as before WW1 mmmmm but we the biggest Navy mmmm then. There was also a guy called Churchill running it mmmm then we had a appeaser called Chamberlin letting a certain guy run amok in Europe ,then there that fella Churchill who had been called a nut for his prediction of war from the back benches during the late 30's . We know what he did when he became PM ( thank feck) so now to Boris posh ,money,Eton ,etc ,and thought he lets his mouth runs away with ,can He do dare I say a Churchill and give us a bit of pride being British ,your thought gents .

I truly hope he succeeds. I hope he manages to get a deal that precludes a NI backstop. I fear he won’t. I also very much doubt he will get a parliamentary majority to support a no deal Brexit. He will end up in the same mire as TM I fear. His intentions are good, his verve and energy, his optimism etc etc, all good but it’s actions that count. Nothing more, nothing less. Proroguing parliament as an option to force a no deal through is now much less of an option given recent bills passed in The House designed to stymie such a move. The next best thing to the EU changing the deal on the table to a more palatable one is for them to invoke the no deal clause themselves. Given the new EU leader’s recent words that they are willing to extend the Oct 31 deadline I’m not sure they will rush to do that. It’s a farce.   I forecast an early GE. I believe Boris could win enoughof a majority on a ‘No Deal Brexit’ ticket, a ‘let’s get our pride and dignity back’ mandate, to win a decent majority. There are presently more Remainers in Parliament than Brexiteers so I cannot see another way forward other than a GE. That would give the electorate a chance to vote in MPs who would take us out and ditch those who won’t.   Time will tell.

Well it's got the REMOANERS up in arms the idea of His suspending Parliament . Wether the EU will blink is another thing on the backstop and other things like the 39 billion . We all know that the manufacturing countries need a deal with the United Kingdom or have a ruff time . His other plans seem to have people happy so if there is general election it would make His position sound ,so let's hope it works .

"Bold & Decisive" I reckon Boris has been, something we badly need in our Prime Minister these days. His plan to suspend Parliament is a brave move, a gamble even, but it's flushed out the Remainers who are now up in arms, citing "undemocratic outrage" and " catastrophic" if No Deal is the outcome. What utter cr*p ! The suspension means the loss of between 3 & 6 days of Parliamentary sittings, (despite the media saying the close down is 5 weeks - it was closing anyway for 4 weeks!). Now Corbyn, Sturgeon & the two faced witch Jo Swinson (Lib Dum Ldr) etc, etc,, along with the Remoaners within the Tory Party,  are caterwauling about loss of debate time - Jeez, they've had almost 3 YEARS to debate Brexit & have NEVER come up with an agreement ! Boris' move has at least got things moving, and providing his plan isn't stopped, then he'll have the time & space to focus on arranging our exit, possibly even with an agreement in place with the EU, who must now realise he's deadly serious and themselves might need to compromise. The majority of those against his plan are really those who don't want Brexit to happen whether with a deal or not - Jo Swinson has openly stated she will NEVER  accept Brexit even if the people were to vote for it again in a People's Vote - that's the voice of bigotry & extremism, yet she's now whingeing about "overturning democracy" - see what I mean about two faced ? Good on you, Boris, sock it to 'em ! John (JKW)

Boris basically sacking the rebels who won't support his plan - quite right too! They, along with the other lot, have been unable to agree any deal during the last 3 years yet seem hell bent on stopping progress being made - in essence, they don't want Brexit at any cost even if a great deal can be struck. Absolutely right. Hammond, Grieve, Gauke et al are traitors driven by self opinionated agendas;  they are despicable. Sack em all! Onwards and upwards. They laughed at Boris, they aren’t laughing now. He has found the backbone we all so desperately wanted in the Government. Decisiveness, determination, drive,  all factors we have been missing for so long in this whole pathetic saga called Brexit, are now scaring the Remoaners to death. I am ecstatic that this is now happening and the traitors, blowhards and marxists are all on the run. I just hope it continues!

Welcome back David - we've missed you ! I thought you must be sunning yourself on the East coast or had just gone AWOL for a bit - anyway, glad to see you back. Will be a VERY interesting week in the Commons methinks ;  if anyone can pull it off , Boris will. No more the "buffoon" tag, he is surely winning friends every time he speaks in public - as I said in a previous post, "Sock it to 'em Boris" !! John (JKW)

A breath of insanity helps all of us to manage our problems, so a bit of lunacy is what we have all been waiting for, Boris is a breath of something unusual, but it is early days yet, so fasten seatbelts and wait for the words of wisdom on their way to help us cope...........BUT at least the poison dwarf has finally been seen off, so happy days are here again (I hope) Tom

You've just got to admire Boris !! Every man (& woman) & their dog are having a go at him, the media daily trying to dig up dirt from his past,  MP's of all Party's (including his own) , even his sister, all deriding his comments in the House, whilst he carries on, steadfastly maintaining we'll be leaving on 31st October and carrying out his duties as PM too, including seeing other Heads of State and "touring" the UK on his pre - election visits ! I personally didn't any  harm in the  "surrender" comment he made, or his reference to Jo Cox which was twisted by Labour to make out he was encouraging violence - what cr*p Labour do utter ! Corbyn & McDonnell are masquerading under the Labour banner whilst clearly promoting a Momentum / Marxist agenda, throwing in a sop or two to the electorate by promising a 32 hour week, nationalisation of all things private, free prescriptions, care for the elderly etc, -  popular theories but could only be funded by massive tax hikes & borrowing, both throwing the economy into chaos and the country into unbridled debt. So Boris, stick with it, you've still got my support, along with many, many others too I believe. John (JKW)
