Easing of Restrictions…..

August 2, 2020

A major topic of media conversation centres on whether Boris eased lockdown restrictions too early - I don't think he did, because if people abided by the current rules ( social distancing, face masks & hand washing etc), then we'd be well on the way to beating this terrible pandemic. The trouble is, more than a small minority are openly ignoring the rules, especially around the pubs and beaches, which will only compound the problem & lead to a possible second spike nationwide. I suppose it can be compared to when we were young, totally ignoring the warnings on smoking, believing we were immune to it all - difference is, this Covid -19 is even more deadly & faster acting  than smoking is / was, and is getting out of control. People need to understand that ALL ages can catch the virus, & it isn't just those with underlying health problems that die from it - STAY SAFE EVERYONE, & keep away from the crowds of idjits. Easing of Restrictions…..

John if you remember when you were a young soldier we thought we could walk on water ,yes everyone who told you different were old and past it. Kay and myself went out for our first Sunday meal to a restaurant in Mitchelstown ,they had social distances spot on for the tables but our youngsters still crowded tables, feckin stupid, laughing joking etc. And as far as the smoking area outside it looked like a rugby scrum at times ,no wonder the increase now is with under 25’s . Yes it’s now being a real pain but if they/we don’t follow the rules it’ll still be here next year . You’ll have noticed that Australia has imposed a night time lockdown, drastic but the  way to stop the spread as they see it  . No  matter what the governments put into action or advice we still have to deal with the ME-ME generations.
