JOHN SHIRLEY

May 11, 2018

Gentlemen I visited John today at St Johns Hospice in Clatterbridge Hospital grounds,he had been transferred there while attempts were made to find a care home more suitable for him, this took place 10 days ago. John seemed to be in good spirits getting out of Arrowe Park hospital into more convivial surroundings, however on Monday of this week he condition started to deteriorate, to the point where the doctors have told us to prepare for the worst, he is mostly sleeping, not eating and is quite confused when he wakes up, the staff at the hospice are doing all they can to keep him comfortable, John was unresponsive during my visit, however when I played the Regimental Reveille on my phone to him, he stirred opened his eyes and  said Oh aye what,s going on ,then fell back asleep, I think it took him back to his Detmold days. I will endeavour to keep you all up dated. he is in room 10. The telephone number is,

0151-334-2778.
