JK's Back
Quote from jkwebster06 on August 19, 2024, 10:32 pmBeen for another hip replacement so have been VOR for a while. Whilst the actual surgery was a complete success, mega complications set in almost immediately & I was transferred to the Critical Care Unit where I spent about a week being wired for sound with tubes & drips & things stuck up my nose, all designed to get me home soonest ( they need the bed !!). Anyway, I'm back home now, very frustrated because so much needs doing, especially in the garden but I'm banned from bending, lifting , stretching whilst step ladders are a no-no too. I'm on crutches of course, but physio was so pleased with my progress today she said I'll be reducing to 1 crutch soon - oh, such happiness!! I'm writing all this nonsense in case anyone wondered where I've been, but in case you did now you know lol. John (JKW)

Quote from jkwebster06 on August 28, 2024, 8:34 pmThank you guys, I AM behaving, proof in the fact the Physio Team discharged me today meaning no more crutches, just a walking stick for balance / support. What a difference, crutches (although useful) are a damn nuisance at times so glad to be rid of 'em. It's good to be back in the land of the living, but being unable to drive for 6 weeks is a bummer - still, many more in worse straits than me so thankful for small mercies am I.
Onwards & upwards, roll on the next General Election !
