Sunday Cenotaph Parade
Quote from Bob Riley on November 12, 2023, 12:41 pmBelieve it or not this the first time I’ve watched the Parade for nearly 35 years live on TV . Yes I’ve seen recording at a later time due to visiting the UK (Chester or Rochdale) over the years . Very impressive.

Quote from DavidFullard on November 12, 2023, 10:38 pmI watched it straight after our own village parade and service. I saw a fair few grey berets on parade and amongst the packed throng of vets marching I noticed Colonel Mike Oliver.
Col Mike must be in his mid 80s but he was marching with the best.

Quote from Bob Riley on November 15, 2023, 3:59 pmDavid at the moment weds 15 Nov my car is at the garage being repaired,it’s either the clutch or gearbox that need replacing, just spoke to the garage and they’re taking the gearbox out to have a inspection,so I’ve this Opel SUV from AA costed nearly €400 to hire and the car they quoted €400 but that’s on clutch not the gearbox,we will see by tomorrow what needs doing . Yes I need a hire as I live 13 kilometres from the nearest town with shops etc ,at least it’s not raining. Take care

Quote from jkwebster06 on November 15, 2023, 10:15 pmBob, Doesn't your insurance pay towards the hire car ? Mine (AVIVA Premium) pays hire car charges for the duration my car should be in for repairs no matter how long it takes, whilst most insurance companies pay at least a proportion of the cost. Might be worth asking your insurers - that, or move to the UK! Good luck with the repairs, here's hoping you're back on the road in your own car soon. John (JKW)
